Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Pay raises getting ridiculous

Just had an email from my energy supplier and the bill is going up 45% from April.

My food shopping has gone up massively, and fuel for the car has shot up, all this on top of taxes being hiked from April.

Everyone else is giving raises to soften the blow for their employees.

This is an unprecedented level of inflation which most can't afford, you can't give 1% and say your done.

Mike this is causing big stress amongst the employees, you can't take big pay for the executives and ignore the staff its got to the stage of silliness.

Please make urgent update asap as people need to uplifted in April not months later.

There is a little tension over this way, perhaps you hadn't noticed. Yes noticed but why would it cost more, supply is the same. You all that purchased gas from Russia , thats your own fault, how stupid can you be?

The amounts shown in the table below reflect the value of compensation and benefits payable to the NEOs upon a qualifying termination of employment related to a change in control. For this purpose, the change in control is assumed to occur on March 31, 2021.

n its Schedule 14A filed with the SEC on July 6, 2021, Michael Salvino, DXC president and CEO, received total compensation for Fiscal 2021 of $21.73 million, up over 63 percent over the $13.32 million he received for fiscal 2020. That represents his total compensation package including salary, bonus, stock awards, and non-executive plan compensation.

Mary Finch, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, in fiscal 2021 received total compensation of $5.58 million, up 33 percent from fiscal 2020’s $4.20 million. Vinod Bagal, executive vice president for global delivery, was compensated with $4.53 million in fiscal 2021, up 52 percent over the prior year’s compensation of $2.98 million.

How's Mary getting $5 million+ a year for a Admin job in HR?

Bit of a scandal that.

How can it be justified, surely big savings to be had.

There are clear winners on the pay front.

Myc take selfino,

We nod bagal,

and MF Hr must be putting in extra hours - working 500 times harder than everybody else to justify their pay.

If MF got a 1% pay rise she would still get 57000 dollars in pay raise, that's more than some people are paid in a year in the company.

But she won't get 1% it will be 20%, 30% 50% or more.

How can they look straight at people on the shop floor and tell them we have to please customers, increase business, we can't afford proper raises, and then give them 1% to 10% of a very small salary raise.

Amazing the gluttony and greed that is justified by the Gang.

"Mike Salvino's earnings went from $13.3m in 2020 to $21.7m in 2021*. So not everyone had a paltry rise.
I'm sure he'll argue that he deserves that increase, but wouldn't it be nice if he could acknowledge that his employees may also have made a contribution to the company, rather than shouting at them for being 'toxic'. "

I'd like to know how he can argue that he deserves that increase. Revenues are down since he took over. Profits are down since he took over. Salaries are down (in real terms) since he took over. Customer Satisfaction is down since he took over. Executive salaries and compensation is up since he took over. In which universe does he deserve that rise?

This is true for many in the UK, approx 50% rise in April, and another big rise in October. Mine is actually going up by more than 50%, to the price cap set by the government, which I very much doubt anyone can find a deal cheaper than at the moment.

Mike you can ask people to leave, that's not employee engagement.

If M1 was seen as bad M2 even more direct.

Stop saying you can only improve delivery, win more contracts, etc.

You can also pay fairly.

You won't see a penny from DXC as the executives are milking all they can get.

You are doing computer support for client whose computer department does not part of their business, so why would you expect your salary to go up

Inflation has hit a 40 year high at 7.9% that's just headline inflation, real inflation on food and energy is more than 4 times that.

DXC pay inflation is 1%, where are the cols (cost of living) increases you mentioned which are part of the customer contracts going Mike?

They are paying you cols money and the employees aren't getting any of it.
