Large scale debate/conversation happening on X (twitter) about this. Focus started on H1-B visas but it has grown to Americans being pushed out of the job market in the name of cost-savings to corporations. I hope at least some Allstate folks will share their experience to contribute to the point.

do india and ireland employees who provide endorsment corrections or underwrting non renewals need to be licensed in the states of the polciies they habdle. Like I cant do an endorsement as a producer without a license.
It’s only a matter of time until AI will replace many more jobs in India USA Ireland (if any left there) . Customer service is ending by the time the boomers are dead. They are too much profit to erase all captive offices. Fortunately some captive offices have become larger than the company in the minds of certain consumers. Those offices will survive for a while.

Just want to say Ha Ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Your corporate greed has seen you get rid of all the expensive Americans & the jobs are coming to Belfast. Every time I see US layoffs I laugh and laugh and laugh. Sure, one day they'll get rid of us in favour of Indian resources, but none of you Americans will be around to see it!

I retired from Allstate a few years ago and I remember when I started there thousands of American workers all using their paychecks to buy houses, goods, and send their kids to college. I made relationships that will last a lifetime. Allstate has no gotten rid of most of those American workers and replaced them with foreign workers. Corporate greed at its finest. Can hardly blame them though since they have to compete with all the other companies doing the same thing. The companies cry that they can’t find qualified American workers, but since they keep laying them off, young kids don’t go into the profession. Only way to stop this is for the government to make some corporate law that taxes the cr-p out of them for the number of foreign workers they employ

Of course they do and they have been for years. Every round of layoffs they buy another round of contract labor and hire regular employees from various 3rd world toilets to save labor costs. Because their bonus checks are at the center of everything they do. Having a workforce of yes people that will work 24/7 without question is priority two and the customer comes in a distant 3rd if they're ever thought of at all.
Allstate and many other companies have abused the system to gain higher pay for the upper executives. That’s it. The grunts have a take it or leave it choice. Train your foreign replacements by correcting their errors and adapt to the AI, or you can leave. And oh by the way, we’re kinda happy if you do leave as you cost too much. Hopefully there will some criminality found so the workers can get some of this money as pay back for the terrible way Allstate has treated the American staff.
