"Is the weekly in service payment calculated on your standard or including flex salary?"

Reference base salary only

DXC just wants you to quit. It's got it's management making everyone's life as intolerable as possible so that it can avoid any form of pay off. They will happily quote your total remuneration package when justifying why no pay rise is due, but you can be sure they'll only base your redundancy on your basic salary. A pay off is not worth waiting for unless you have no plans on getting another job anyway.

"So how does one get to see the terms we have signed up for?"

If you are in a country with an employment contract (ie not the USA) then you can access it via workday (I think it was workday).

I downloaded mine ages ago when it looked like they were going to WFR me (actually the first time, there have been another two occasions since... which is nice)

@5nnz+1uUZtocj You can only fight an injustice if you have evidence. Otherwise the company can say but these are your terms because these are our standard terms. You can be sure people and organisation typically only loose the paperwork when it's in their favour.

Given that DXC still doesn't have it's own Ts&Cs and even new employees are considered either legacy ES or legacy CSC, I think you're mistaken. I'm on EDS ES Ts&Cs I've signed nothing to say otherwise, friends on HP ES Ts & Cs. We might be classed as Legacy ES but we have different Ts & Cs, and one of the differences is on redundancies. So there are at least 3 sets of Ts & Cs in DXC but I would guess there are loads more. All those people who stayed on their original Ts & Cs when transferred into EDS/HP/CSC. Anyway it is HR's job to keep track of all of Ts & Cs, it's literally the reason for their existence, how poorly can the company treat staff without getting in trouble

Who keeps employment contracts from 25 years ago.

Subject to your contract, but last time I applied. It only referenced the last 20 years service, then applied the UK multiplier for your age. Maximum you can get is 30 weeks (tax free) on that basis. Staying a year longer only gains you an extra half weeks pay once you've got 20 years service. Even if you think you have better terms, it will be a fight to get HR to find them, and for you to prove you've not inadvertently ticked a box somewhere that waived them all in return for a mousemat.

You can request a copy of your contract from HR. That will detail your specific terms.

On both old EDS and HP Ts&C's it was capped at a years salary, how you got to cap differed. No idea about CSC

You clearly didn’t read the question my friend.

I know what the UK terms are BUT private companies dont necessarily have UK terms. The UK terms are minimum terms.

Sometimes companies don’t cap the weekly payments. In fact I am pretty sure DXC don’t for people who started 20+ years ago.

UK Redundancy is set by the Givernment and is The maximum weekly statutory redundancy pay is £700, and the maximum total statutory redundancy pay is £21,000
The amount of redundancy pay an employee is entitled to is calculated as follows:

Age 41 and older: 1.5 weeks' pay for each full year of employment

Age 22–40: 1 week's pay for each full year of employment

Age 17–21: Half a week's pay for each full year of employment

Er @1fjj there aren't any complaints on this thread, just a reasonable question given the name of this site and answers. I think you're the one that has the problem

Stop already if you don’t like the way you are being treated at DxC, then change employers. Otherwise do your job as a professional and stop complaining all the dam time.

Seeing these same complaints year and year out for 5 , 10 , 15 years is enough. If you stay then you deserve what DxC is giving you

When I left, it was capped in the US at eight weeks of severance, based on years of service.

Typically in UK for old hands, it's capped at a year's salary, your Ts & Cs dictate how fast you hit that cap, e.g. HP it month per year of services, ES was 1/2/3 weeks per year of services depending on age etc. but they all stop at a year.
Don't forget Pay In Lieu Of Notice (PILON) that's often another 3 months.

Also never assume HR have a clue what they are doing, double check any offer. HR have been known to make far too generous offers, in which case keep quiet.

25 years with DXC, so hopefully not capped.

If you are UK, check your contract... I say that because there are hundreds of variations depending on your origin into the company...

If you are here only the last couple of years then I believe they did cut back to government mininums but not before that.
