Question about customer service employees being replaced by AI, given performance goals that are impossible to meet and then put on PIP and terminated for missing the impossible goals by a fraction of a percent. No severance. How many people have experienced this lately?

I was there about 7 years. I got 13.2 weeks of pay. I am in a state where PTO needs to be paid out. Got about $7k. Note though. You must apply for unemployment benefits too. The state does not recognize the severance as earning "extra" and being denied unemployment pay. You don't claim it when you certify. But your Elevance Health pay is NOT exactly your salary. I was shorted about $500 due to some fancy math/excuse that tied into unemployment. Whatever. I got Elevance pay AND state unemployment. It helps.
California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, West Virginia, and Wyoming All require PTO pay outs.
@1pnq+1tZpRVXO - For starters, take the next month off as PTO...then go from there.
Georgia does not require PTO, but I spoke to a lawyer and we accrue time as apart of compensation NOT start with a set amount of days/hours - I am going to ask about this because I am having to leave a lot of money on the table since I didn't take much PTO this year.

you got 1 month pay for every year of service? or do you mean 1.5 weeks pay for every year of service - this is what’s noted in Pulse.
RIF’D last week, got one months pay for each yr worked at the company. They won’t pay out on PTO.
ctrf-F, there are at least a dozen posts on this.
If you were riffed, it was in your paperwork. If you haven't been, ctrl-F.
Also, it's not severance.
