Any management here (since this is anonymous) that know for a fact 100% there will be a lay off next week? I say management since they would have a list of their associates getting the RIF. Just curious! I know we are all stressing.

@1etf+1pjfMwya I had input by giving my list of associates. My director can be doing the same for me to the SVP. We all are in the same boat here. Hope this helps.
@2jws+1pjfMwya You are an id--t
Direct managers know. My manager knew for a few weeks before 9/21 who was being let go.
I truly doubt that is a mgr replying. It wouldn't be very professional of them if it was. And they themselves are not protected from the rif they are notified the same day as others.
@1vbt+1pjfMwya Thank you for sharing that info! Were you presented with a list of pre-chosen people or just a number you had to meet? How much input did you have - did you have to choose or were you just being informed?
I am a manager and i know the list of my associates that are impacted this coming week. It is not the SVP only as someone stated earlier. I met with my director and compiled a list for my SVP.
Any word on California??
So this invite the poster referenced is from who? HR? Your manager is not going to tell you?
Interestingly my manager is currently on PTO and off on 11/2.
If you get the RIF notice, it will not be coming from your direct manager and you will get the invite the night before or the day of -- so I wouldn't worry about any invites from your manager (unless your direct manager is Staff VP or above).
My 1-1 meeting with my manager moved from Friday to next Monday. Not sure if this meeting is related to 11/2 layoff. Hopefully not, just been working here for 6 months.
I find it hard to believe that only the SVP knew. This company is not worth our time.
From Sept RIF only SVP know the list of associates. Manager or direct report will get informed on the same day.
