Started work this morning. Immediate message from my manager that we have to talk.

Laid off…. Right before xmas.

This is horrible to mention but for the people getting laid off before the new year Gainwell doesn’t give you your 401k matching for the year. Just another way for them to sc--w you out of money.

The org transformation team was amazing and I truly miss working with all of them. They were NOT part of HR.

The execs wouldn’t be able to handle candid feedback from this discussion board. Their ego is waaay too big. They would explode.

And they don’t care about any employee opinion. They only care about ego and $$.

The Organizational Transformation department was not part of HR and was a 5 person department so get your facts straight before posting. Honestly, do your research and see that they were one of the only departments driving results at Gainwell and it was a big loss to my team when they were eliminated.

They should post this discuss link onGW intranet so that mgmt gets candid feedback.

In recent survey, GW hr team was rated worst and entire org transformation dept (30+
Including VP/Dir) got laid off last month. Looks like Execs listen to the feedback while making budget decisions.

Instead of useless hr team, here is a better legal way to do it - Veritas/board should publish state specific WARN notices in advance (which includes just the number of employees impacted).

The layoffs will continue next week.

Then the next round will be the first week of January.

Then heavy layoffs around the 20th ish of January.

This is so sad!! I feel for every single person who got those mandatory meeting invites. A very long time ago I experienced a layoff and I took it personal. Then I found out it wasn’t me at all. The company was losing business and had to cut costs. Last one hired, first one fired. I eventually was grateful as I took that time to freshen up my skills, budget my money more precisely and it made my next job so worthwhile. While I don’t agree how Gainwell is going abt it they are in financial troubles so it’s best to move on cuz this ain’t it! I pray for everyone at this company cuz GOD makes no mistakes and is moving you on to bigger and better things!

What is disturbing is the lies in the Town Hall meetings. Both COO and CEO town halls were lies about the layoffs and status of the company. They said that Ohio was the model state. Wow that amazes me. I work on the Ohio account and it is a train wreck. If that’s the model then Gainwell is the worst company out there.

This cycle is going to continue to repeat.

@1epy+1q1FgOvB, the IP stands for Implementation Practice. It was formed from account people to implement the new business projects on the accounts. A bunch of people got promoted, the projects are a mess and Gainwell went outside to find someone to fix it.

Amen. Even if someone with 20+ yrs is laid off, it is the worst time of the year to do that but for those hired within just the last year, it is terrible!

It is unconscionable to hire someone for 6 months and then let to them go just before the holidays. There is a special place in he-l for peeps like that. What goes around comes around. So don’t feel sorry for the leadership when their time comes…

I had my meeting this afternoon and was let go. I worked in delivery. I don’t know about other departments. My manager said it was a company wide layoff. She didn’t give any more detail than that.

I have only been here for about six months. I wish someone would have told me I would be let go this quickly.

I think it’s pretty obvious that Gainwell doesn’t care about the morale of the troops. Just get in line and do as you are told. Don’t ask any questions. And don’t even think about trying to think for yourself.
