I would definitely buy and read the book about USAA!
I won't be surprised to see late night TV ads about usaa, "Did you or a loved one work at USAA from 2018-2024", you may have been exposed to [fill in the blank]"
When many of those toxic managers who colluded with USAA's unseemly practices are in the unemployment line, it will be a mark of shame and red flag to potential employers on their resumes they managed at USAA. Maybe not to the Enron or Theranos level but there's probably a lot of stuff I don't know about.
I am proud to say my husband was fired by USAA because his values don't align to theirs, i.e. he has some and they don't.

Wayne is kissing Paul’s a-s because he is leaving to work in government.

Yes USAA is a complete dumpster fire and has been for a long time and certainly since Wayne was named CEO and inferno of a dumpster fire. But - You people are funny. There is no golden parachute when you work in the bank. The regulators have to approve any severance and if Paul is leaving on his own he is getting zero severance. If he was really asked to leave he won’t get anything more than what is the employee handbook for his title level. And his deferred comp “parachute” will be held for years before ever paying. He would be paid a pro rated bonus like anyone else in the company if he was asked to leave. There are other executives that were laid off 5 years ago that still have not been paid their severance deferred comp they earned because regulators won’t approve it being paid. I don’t know if it will ever be paid. Someday a book will be written about all the bad stuff that happens beyond the gates of USAA and is most certainly is far from honorable or what the public thinks it is.

Anyone remember when he was a VP and got sent to ‘executive school’ for his anger issues? Bro was always, and will always be, a POS. See ya

Let's see how many are willing to return to dig them out of yet another hole!

They lie to employees. They abuse the human beings who either work or worked for them. They lie about employees and create hostile, ugly work environments. They are the epitome of IT trailer trash.

Another consent order is about to be handed down in the coming months along with a harsher fine.

Fired executives get golden parachutes because they know where the bodies are buried. Silence isn't cheap.

Paul wanted to trim expenses for a bank already operating at a very low expense ratio. Now let’s see how many Millions he gets severance and why is that a secret is what Wayne needs to answer. Why do fired executives get a huge payment when fired employees do not.
