Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Update performance ratings

How convenient. The ratings are updated to drive more slavery. For zero pay increase year over year. Billions and billions in profit.

My goal is “meets minimum expectations”, which is a match to the bank’s performance metric as well. No raises, no bonus = part time job with zero f’s given if what I do makes them money or costs them money.

I’d much rather receive severance and be on my way than continue wasting my life at this insulting institution. Looking forward to the congressional hearings over the insanely risky deals they do. No bailout this time, let it burn.

Look go to.twitter and you'll see everything that is done gatekeeping hiring non experienced people , so to answer your question it's as if it were an Indian company.

"Managers mostly are Indian"

Why? Is this Indian company?

Managers mostly are Indian so yeah not surprised if they are gatekeeping promotions and good metrics in exchange for goodies as long as it is in there caste.

@13f In reality, Senior Management is probably stating why AI can't replace employees quicker.

@a4+1kh40tq6w - exactly!! Solid advice!!

Essentially take the first 6 months just siting there keeping your seat warm, then do all your great work in the second half, esp. ramp up in Sept when the first round of ratings are submitted.

No manager will remember anything you did prior to August, so don't waste your effort.

It's called Recency Bias, and their pea brains cannot retain anything more.

Five ranges simply means that they have narrowed from 10% can be exceeds rated to 5%. This is all done to keep from paying larger salaries and bonus.

Managers just give it to friends anyway.

The ratings process needed to be realigned to compensate for the new generation of managers here that have no clue how to manage people, manage teams or provide consistent and coherent direction, much less provide useful feedback for performance.

do the bare minimum work, give your self Exceeds/Exceeds in the mid-year/year-end performance ratings....your manager will use AI to give your report and the rest will come to you.
