Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Holiday schedule

Down to six whole holidays. Why not just get a retail job. At least you can leave for the day and be able to shut it off and not worry about how much you have to do tomorrow.

@1lcf

Your post of creative math is an embarrassment to the laws of mathematics.

This pto talk that you pay for it is crazy.

Your annual salary is for a years worth of work. Pto are days you are scheduled to work but dont. They don't reduce your paycheck.

This company is full of conspiracy theorists who are probably looking for jfk yesterday

@1dga+1dCVJ42U I’ll break it down for those that think Allsnake is really paying for those 25 days a year. 1.Pull up your offer letter 2. Take that number and divide that by 2080 (40 hours a work week x 52 weeks in a year) 3.that’s your hourly rate 4. Multiple your hourly rate x 25 Your PTO days 5.take that number look at your pay statement

@1gnq+1dCVJ42U "majority" I don't think that weird means what you think it means... The country is pretty split in each of those things... And since when does science care about the majority.

Show me science that makes work.

Show me science that the vaccine is better than natural immunity.

The science and the pools don't agree. And if anything can be learned from the last several elections, polls can't be trusted, with their high margin of error.

@1cbb+1dCVJ42U. Wake up. The majority of the country supports employees over billionaires and $30 million a year CEOs.

The majority of fully high school educated support masks and Covid vaccines.

The majority of Americans support equal access to success for all Americans regardless of color, ethnicity, gender, se-ual preference, and physical capabilities.

The majority of Americans support reasonable g-n laws within the context of the Second Amendment.

The majority of Americans support the right of women to choose how they handle their health.

See, the majority of Americans are "left" using your definition. Maybe that is why the majority of votes seem "left" to you.

@1xhw+1dCVJ42U most employers no longer offer separate sick time and vacation time. You must be an allstate lifer.

The logic behind this is generally because most people rarely use sick time, so now you can use that time for something else if you want, or if you're sick.

This is actually a good thing.

@1kpt+1dCVJ42U explain your math. If I get paid market value as a base salary, where am I seeing a reduction in pay?

@1cbb+1dCVJ42U found the conspiracy theorist. Please explain how they do it.

The only posts I've seen upvoted to out pace site traffic are the posts on that topic in favor of the left view.

Stop accusing others of what you engage in.

Also, how you feeling about Virgina? ;). Seems the "red hat" viewpoint is pretty prevalent...

@1ctw+1dCVJ42U You are aware that YOU the employee pays for those PTO days out of your total compensation!? Allsnake is very generous with YOUR/OUR money 💰

There is a red hatter that down votes multiple times whenever employees speak their mind on the mistreatment they receive at the hands of Allstate. This person attacks unions, masks, vaccines, PTO days and anything else reasonable people with education and compassion would support. That is why there are so "many votes".

A lot of areas still have the 9 holidays next year. Remember this company is a lot more than just claims. It's just claims tends to monopolize this board and for fair reason. Claims is treated much worse than the rest of the company. Many other areas still get raises and decent perks and good work conditions. Most other areas are not as short staffed and some are not busy at all. Our area rarely has more than one chat at a time anymore. For some reason this company treats claims far worse and does not give the same treatment.

Re pto. Allstate does not offer sick time for FTEs. So pto is mix of vacation and sick time

@1fpu+1dCVJ42U not sure why you're getting down votes, unless it's a bunch of Allstate lifers that have never experienced other companies' PTO policies... Allstate gets a lot wrong, but the PTO is not one of them

I'm not the biggest Allstate fan. However, one of the only positives is the pto. I have been here 5 years and in addition to the 6 holidays and 3 days of 2.5 times pay I also have 25 PTO days not counting I never have to work weekends. That's 31 days off which equals 6 weeks. Your not going to find that at other places. Most places you get 2 or 3 weeks total!

Claims only receives 6 out of the 9, but we get 3 additional PTO days to make up for it.

OP- Claims has 6. They used to give up PTO for holidays worked with 1.5 hours pay. Now we don’t get the PTO but at least 2.5 hours pay, so I guess that’s a plus.

Did you get the same email I got? There's 9 on there... Not every job has banker's hours, but 9 is sure better than 6 or 0.
