Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Jobs creeping back slowly

Upstream jobs in Texas fell 30% in mid 2020 with the pandemic collapse. They have slowly crept back up to about 85% of pre-pandemic levels. About 25,000 people per year are being hired so it is a great time to be job hunting!

That was ExxonMobil, open your eyes for once and look at how it says “Chevron”

National Association of Colleges and Employers reports that in 2020 roughly half of the college graduates did not find full time jobs with a traditional employer. I really enjoy reading on this site all the whining and complaining about Chevron when there is an army of people who would love to have their jobs. If people only knew how fortunate they are to have a corporate job. Some people are just clueless or perhaps spoiled.

Good job in O&G are not back yet. I would agree that support staff and lower income jobs are plentiful but petrotech jobs are not out there

Help wanted signs everywhere, job openings everywhere. But decent workers certainly are a scarcity. Butthurt losers who want something for nothing are easy to find........
