OK, I understand that it's hard to make yourself indispensable to Refinitive, but I'm wondering what to do to stay marketable and irresistible to a new prospective employer after a long time here?
_______
I have colleagues who, after 5, 6, 7 years here, find it very difficult to get new jobs in other companies. People are becoming less and less marketable.

I’ve always found that a nice bright tie and a clean shirt helps make yourself more marketable
I can't help thinking, how did we come to this?
No better business than selling information and look at us all now...
For starters, easy on the sarcasm and only post message once.
There are a ton of jobs out there - people should not be having trouble landing one unless they have very unrealistic expectations. Do you have a LinkedIn account? Make sure it is up to date. Look at job ads for the position you are interested in and tailor your experiences to what they are asking for. Have a trusted friend review your resume/CV, or even do a short term interaction with a resume specialist (LinkedIn offers that as well). You can set your profile as "looking for opportunities" and recruiters will come to you.
Look at Glassdoor.com for reviews on companies, including who they are looking to hire (more job descriptions for tailoring your resume) and information about company cultures.
Send your resume to companies you would like to work for, even if they don't have jobs posted. Write a solid cover letter, again tailoring it to each company. Don't rely on "one size fits all". Search out news articles about the company and mention things you've read, using them to show why you would be of value to them.
Above all, I totally agree with the person who posted about networking. Your network won't land you a job, but they can help you find opportunities.
Good luck!

I left Refinitiv a few months ago and I found a job in an excellent company. Be very aware that there are a lot of TR alumnis everywhere that can help you out! Work your network and go for it!
But yes... the sooner the better!
