I heard that PPE is getting sold to PIP. Cool. A bunch of our coworkers are getting out from under Honeywell!

Honeywell market share in those “strengths” have dwindled for some time. Fall protection isn’t even top 5 anymore and respiratory has been decimated by ignorant decisions. APR is the only thing left and PIP tries to push JSP from Europe.
The fire business will be fine and Salisbury will be fine as well. PIP can absorb hearing, hand, safety glasses, eyewash and fibre metal.
PIP will probably get rid of their rep groups. I would guess maybe 50% of the Honeywell sales staff will stay to replace the rep groups. Most of the reps will be in fall, (although that group has many green reps) but I can’t imagine Hon inside sales, leadership, or national accounts transitions long term. There are also a lot of former Honeywell folks at PIP in both leadership and outside sales.
Honeywell built a hodge podge portfolio in IA. I think they'll have to piecemeal it out to get rid of it. Any unit that compliments aero is gonna stay.

Who's next? ....They will have to heavily discount Intelligrated since they got laughed out of prior negotiations. UOP, PPS and HGAS, I wonder in which order?
How can there not be layoffs. Much of PPE is based within mixed business Honeywell facilities. Relocation is a guarantee, that is if you are even offered the opportunity!

@eco+1vCDyrmS IP & Brands are the value here, not employees or facilities so I think your sentiment is correct.

The question is what will happen with them. I can imagine that there are a lot of duplicities and they will keep own guys.
