Halved his salary to prevent layoffs while company was making a loss. MW initiates layoffs while we are in the green, Wirth saying....

The moment that you start obsessing about what the CEO of your company, or anyone near that level makes, is the end of it for you. You should immediately find somewhere else to work, maybe a non-profit. The private corporation employment world is not for you. Perhaps you can find a cushy do-nothing public sector position, as if most of you don't have cushy do-nothing positions already, lol

Pay cut? How about just not taking a pay raise significantly higher than employees!

Be careful what you wish for.

MW was asked in a town hall during 2020 layoff, whether his executive team will take a pay cut to alleviate the financial strain on the company and win at any cost. He replied, he worked hard for his pay, and as he is not cutting low psg salary, so no cut for highest PSGs.

The point is if you want him to take a pay cut, he will cut your salary too at the same rate.

@1cjj so if it was apples to apples do you think MW would halve his salary to prevent layoffs?

Not apples to apples at all. These layoffs are to make structural changes not an effort to stay afloat or profitable. 'Change where and how we do work'
