@gb I've never seen a more group of people than American's wishing for the downfall and replacement of their own people in the name of productivity

H4EAD should be BANNED RIGHT NOW

For H1b, renew H1b visa for folks only who are super critical at Tech Lead 2 level or more

A patriotic president would do that. A wise president would not do that.

@gb Totally agree with you statement "LR’s should either be based on performance and contribution", unfortunately that is not what appears to be happening. My manager asked me to put together a stack ranking (never been asked to do this in this role so I know what that means); however, the catch was that I was instructed to not put anyone not permanently permitted to work in the USA at the bottom. I asked why, and the answer was "we wouldn't want to inconvenience them or their families". Huh? Being laid off is always an inconvenience, I know people that have lost their livelihoods because of it.

I work with H1B teammates who can run circles around most of our lazy U.S. born and raised. LR’s should either be based on performance and contribution or business sectors.

H1B / H4EAD cancer has spread too far in US tech. Companies need to stop visa renewals for anyone not a senior tech lead or above.
