The new COO came to NS in 2024 from UP, after years with CSX. UP will definitely make NS operate under the UP plan, expect major cuts.
Just saying!!!!!

@1kf says the terminal who had a superpool and fu---d up any chance of blowing through Toledo by hollering on the radio going through Cleveland, “are we recrewing in Toledo? What’s the plan for us? We want to get superpool money but don’t want to do the work!” UP will see how much money they will save running the pool out of Toledo. The numbers have already been calculated. Conway will lose its big bros in upper management who be-doverbackwards to give you pools you don’t even want. Good riddance.
@1k3 you dont even know how conway works lmao. Also the merger application explicitly states major investments in conway and bellevue as HUBS not in Toledo as anytbing major. Better get your elkhart quals up before they flatten the t center and then it into a parking lot for an outsourced mega run by some class 2
@1be that’s why UP is investing millions in expansions in Toledo. Much of what was done in Chicago will now be done in Toledo so it can either be handed off to UP in Chicago or go toward Peru/Decatur. NS sees Toledo as a speed bump, but UP sees Toledo as the new gatewa and main terminal along the Chicago Line. The days of Conway preferential treatment are coming to a close. Better get your Harrisburg quals up.

To the guy that keeps talking about toledo. Your terminal is a speed bump on this railroad. Get ready to get flattened by the merger lmao
@OP rumor is Orr was becoming more and anti-UP as it went on.
Trojan horse.
Good thing they are gonna one-way Toledo-Conway pool out of Toledo. Conway is king no more!
Looks like merger stalled again. Just saying. From a really good source. Just saying.
