Thread regarding Wayfair Inc. layoffs

Rise up on split days off

We need to rise up against split days off and now mandatory overtime. This “We can’t do it without you” and “it’s such an exciting time” is bs. It’s a ton of work and stress. Stop sugar coating and let’s ask for what we deserve, two days of rest in a row!

@1ar I quit and had a new job within a week. No split weekend and got a pay increase. But I was prepared to flip burgers rather than be viewed as Property of Wayfair.

It's going to be alright everyone. Just remember that despite some uncomfortable changes, we do have a job. The job market is rough out there and things could be worse then taking calls and split days off.
We earn pto, have benefits and get to work from home. Every single thing we do is tracked, if we do our jobs well it stands out. It really does. Wayfair isn't out to get us, they are running a business.
I know there are so many people who would love to have some of the things we take for granted. I used to be one of those people. I prayed for this job and have gotten some great opportunities.
So for everyone who is staying.....Everything is tracked, use that to your advantage because it works.

@ac As true as this may be, it is unfortunate that you view it as acceptable. No, not unfortunate. Pathetic. That's what it is.

Since CS reps come in here and downvote anything that doesn’t fit their worldview here. I fully encourage the OP and all who think like this to go on and “ rise up” … let me know how that works out for you. Don’t be afraid.. take action if you think it’s such a grand idea!

I am so tired of this cr-p. This site is to share info on potential layoffs not complain about our jobs, and anytime someone calls it out or how stupid some of these complaints are. Immediately it is “oh that must be a l6 or management fighting back” no, some of us peons like you are just tired of you cr-p, and pretty sure no upper leadership would even care enough to look at this site.

Do jobs su-k, yes there is a lot of cr-p right now but either find a new one or stop complaining. We all have family’s to provide for and your complaints don’t help or make any difference

Sounds like mgt is reading and retaliating on this thread.

Exactly if you want two days off in a row develop hard skills and get a corporate job. If you’re in call center work, you’re human capital and are on call when needed.

"Rise up" and open your own business.

Yeah I’m not saying the job isn’t stressful.. but cmon with the “ rise up” stuff . You can’t plug your resistance movement ideas into a job you signed up for. Do the job or hey here’s an idea.. try forcing your ideas on another employer. I’ve been here a long time and had to pay my dues. Toughen up or , you know find something else. The choice is yours

@ac agreed. Call centre workers are the biggest complainers. They get paid for very easy work and should be more grateful.

@OP Don't let the door hit you on your way out. It's call center work, your job is dependent on when staffing is needed, not your needs.
