Bad bosses (Citi) keep people stuck in dead-end jobs.

Good bosses create opportunities for people to grow and advance.

Great bosses encourage people to pursue growth and advancement even if it means leaving for another organization.

Post ID: @1ac+1jhnrcfzy The new hire who supposedly started in November 2024 you're talking about in Risk Management, quit Citi after only 6 to 8 weeks. LOL!

He disregarded COO Anand's insouciant, oblivious, Brain De@d and AS$ININE Townhall lecture, "Don't Chase the Money", and instead Chased the Money at a competitor. LOL!

He's now a Director and Head of a whole department. My guess is that his base is US$250k to $350k. The job he left at Citi after lasting Only 2 LONG Months! LMFAO! was in NO way paying that much money since the Global Directory showed his C-level and Team. I guess the price tag was worth it because he most likely burned bridges at Citi.

There was a new hire in Risk Management in November 2024.
By December 31, 2024 he was No longer in the Global Directory.
He left Citi to go Chase the Money! LMFAO! He lasted and quit after 2 LONG Months! LMFAO!

My theory and guess is that he preferred the other job over Citi, but Citi was the first to give him a job offer and complete the background check.
By the time Company B contacted him to offer him a job in November, he already started @Citi.

He nevertheless accepted Company B's job offer in November. Company B completed their background check, and then Citi's New Hire bolted out the Fvcken Citi door in December! LMFAO!

Post ID: @a6+1jhwsyqp1 Yes Chiefs of Staff SVPs and Directors, and CAOs are overpaid Super Duper Secretaries.

The Sad part is that $hittybank and those Chiefs of Staff are oblivious to the fact that their work and job is secretarial.

They actually believe they're doing Non-secretarial type work. They end up stuck in $hittybank because No other bank will hire them at those salary ranges to do what is basically secretarial work.

Outside Employers will read their Resumes, see and gleen that their job is secretarial in nature.

Agree. CAOs and Chiefs of Staff are grotesquely overpaid Admins/Secretaries doing secretarial work.

The Chiefs of Staff at GS, JPMC and BofA are Executive Administrative Assistants aka secretaries.
And then $hittybank wonders why or how it's unable to save money.

When $hittybank is Id!otically paying Unskilled (who can only do secretarial type of work and have No technical skills) SVPs, CAOs and Directors US$200,000 to $300,000 to do work that a highly skilled secretary can do for a fraction of $200k to $300k, that's how and why $hittybank is the Penurious Mendicant CitiToilet Laughing Stock of Wall Street!

Those MotherFvckers better pray $hittybank doesNot replace CEO Insane Jane with CEO Jamie or David because they'll Fire those Unskilled SVPs, CAOs and Directors and replace them with Executive Assistants/Secretaries.

GS, JPMC and BofA have higher standards and requirements for their Exec Assistants. They must have at least a Bachelors Degree to get the job. Some dinosaurs who've been there 20 to 30 years most likely do Not have a Bachelors Degree.

All I am going to say is no. I'm not happy with my comp or bonus. No i did not get an average rating either or a bad one.
Ratings mean nothing it's all just a stupid game of thrones that conceited managers play to line their own pockets. I'd do your work, take as many breaks as the other workers, realize this place is toxic, only attend meeting & webinars that are mandatory, and don't let them F-up your health/life.

if you decide to look elsewhere or not stop being their doormat. Just treat it as a job these people do not care about you it's just about the needs of the business.

They sc--w up and create more work, fines, etc. Either they are Dvmb or trying to make the bank go down the drain bc I have never in my many years seen this level of incompetence.

Don't do extra hours or night work, no accepting new projects if you can help it because they will heap on more stuff to keep from hiring people so they get big fat raises and bonuses. Stop or minimize purchasing in the food courts---bring your lunch & soda.

Kick employee networks and groups to the curb. Those people only run those networks or groups to look good and get promoted.
Look at all the SVP Chiefs of Staff (Not qualified in tech or anywhere else) who are now magically Directors. Only at this Dysfunctional bank. by Anonymous Post ID: @a6+1jhwsyqp1

Here from Citi Europe: rating 3/2, 1.5% salary rise, 3k bonus. IT.

After paying the taxman part, I guess I will burn the leftovers of my bonus traveling. A weekend (bed + breakfast) in the nearest Holiday Inn XD.

As soon as I get the bonus in my pocket, notifying my resignation. Found something better. Peanuts are for monkeys, not humans.

Seems like across different areas the difference in comp from a 2/2 to a 3/3 is nothing. This is why it's against policy to share what you make. It illustrates that Citi is not a meritocracy and there is no real incentive to do better. Keep people in the dark and motivate by fear.

Post ID: @1wbz+1weqHGai True. Current employees will be Trojan Horses who can sabotage, damage, create problems for, hinder or delay work and projects, including other employees' work. by Anonymous Post ID: @1ynj+1weqHGai

Both former and current employees will have Schadenfreude WHEN Not If Citi goes OOB Out of Business, gets sold in whole or pieces.

In fact I see even current employees including myself laugh and rejoice whenever Citi gets another regulatory monetary fine, MRA, MRIA, or Consent Order.

FVCK Employees Over with Low or Zero Salary, Bonus increases, or No promotions, And Citi's own current employees will be it's worst enemy. by Anonymous Post ID: @1wbz+1weqHGai

Sh!ttybank should call it the DISIncentive NON-Retention Bonus and DISIncentive Salary increase, NOT the Corporate Doublespeak 1984 Orwellian Incentive Bonus and Incentive Salary increase. My Bonus was 20% LESS than Last Year's.

Hence, I'm 60% LESS Incentivized (triple Sh!ttybank's Insulting Bonus) to provide solutions, my knowledge, skills and to help my co-workers. Sh!ttybank gave out NON-Retention "bonuses" to encourage voluntary quitting so that Destitute Sh!ttybank does Not need to pay out Severance.

Other posters mentioned that Sh!ttybank is creating Trojan Horses that will bring down CitiTroy. This is accurate.

Lol you guys sure make me feel good about our entire team's raise. No one got above 1% for our team on CPWM. I personally got .79%. That barely covers anything AND it doesn't cover the benefits increase. Thank you Jane for doing buybacks and effectively ki-ling an entire team's motivation to do anything.

I think it is okay,

about 2.5% pay increase and they average out what you got as bonus from the previous years working there. I never got big bonuses, so I was not surprised at what I got. For others, they may have been dissapointed, and a see my boss was preparing a long winded speech getting ready to sweeten up a low ball offer, but in my perspective, it is the average from what I normally get. And, at this point im still employed, and anything over base salary fine for me in the current market conditions
