Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Weird

So many dissatisfied employees comment here.
Why don’t they leave F5?
Can’t find another job? Hmm.

So many former employees comment here.
Why are they wasting their time?
Can’t find another job? Hmm.

Seems like the answers are obvious.

Dose of reality for those newer to working.
No job or company is perfect. Many are far from it.
F5 isn’t perfect. But it’s a paycheck. It’s decent benefits.
Bad mouth leadership until you are blue in the face, it won’t change anything.
So take a deep breath.
Take another deep breath.
Stop wasting your time on things outside your control.
The commenting isn’t burning calories, or teaching you a new skill, or fixing anything. So why are you continuing to do it?

Get back some free time! Don’t give it to F5!

The actual problem is the sh---y indian leadership in Seattle and elsewhere who have no clue of Technology etc and still decides the fate of sub-ordinates and mess around with folks who disagree with them. Losers!! pathetic ,Toxic Leadership junk

I was let go (in a messed up way) and therefore hate f5 with a passion; and am happy now. I come here to remind myself why I’m so happy not being at F5

That’s the weird part. Leave if you don’t enjoy it. If you can’t leave, it’s weird you waste your time complaining about something you can’t change. If you’ve left already, really weird you’d waste time complaining about a company you’re no longer associated with. Take action, or just complain. Weird if you’re doing just the latter and expect anything to change.

Now, if you’re taking action, this board would actually be useful. We’d share what actions everyone is taking to change F5, work together, etc. But no, it’s just a board for empty complaints.

It's not weird at all. You treat people with common decency and you get dignified responses. When you do the opposite, for example by laying off hardworking people and hiring their replacements in India to get access to subsidies, you get the respect you deserve. No one enjoys working for cowards who don't commit to the products and services they're selling.

@OP I get that you’re frustrated, and that you don’t find it helpful to you - that’s fair, but many others find it valuable for advice or connection. The thing is that forums like this exist for sharing different viewpoints - whether they’re positive or negative.

No job is perfect, but when multiple people are dissatisfied, it's worth considering why, rather than just telling them to leave.
Also, former employees sharing their experiences can also be valuable to some.

But if ithese pages are making you miserable, maybe it’s time to take your own advice and move on, rather than preaching to others.
