Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Robin Vince

While patting himself on the back for thr stock price increase, Robin Vince has achieved this by continuing to do layoffs and use any option to force long time loyal employees out of the company, and with no severance!
Not surprising to see what has become of the culture of this once great place, with today’s dog eat dog organization. You would never know that with the “Awesome Culture” posts he does on LinkedIn! And from someone that knows. More layoffs coming.

“humming” as in RV has kicked the hornets nest one too many times and employees are about to start stinging

In the recent interview with Jim Cramer on Mad Money running on CNBC and social media, RV specifically refers to the current culture as ‘humming.’

I wonder what tune he’s humming or listening to since current culture is not what he thinks. He speaks with the same great conviction and enthusiasm of a classic con artist as he appeals to investors

Although his voice carries authority, his message is so disconnected from reality over his suggestion that the recent stock price gains are the byproduct of the current high performing culture … and that more is yet to come!

Give us a break and be transparent about what is being done in terms of culture. #Smellthecoffee

@ez Many of us do work. And many who have worked hard for the company for a long time are still getting kicked out cold. Fortunately, I'm not one of the unlucky ones - yet....

Well, even Devil’s Island penal colony had a culture. Robin impresses no one except those who enjoy misery.

@ez
He is a thief , a robber and owes the separation benefit for the people impacted by the layoffs. Even with the lack of formal contract on severance pay, this company's past history of 60 years providing severance creates a situation that it is legally required. Not a single person should or will in the future want to work at this shithole.

@ez the extent things have been pushed to AI or outsourced with known critical issues can be seen as impulsive. It is very easy for a novice investor to see the drawbacks of a juiced stock price heavily based on cutting the US workforce and their employee benefits. Potentially short sighted fiscally, definitely short sighted for society. You are clearly leadership ilk justifying your own turncoat actions.

Wow, you people act like he owes you something. Newsflash he owes you nothing and is obligated to do the best for the owners, the shareholders. You lazy POS need to either work or get out.

@OP it’s been a long time since this place has been a “great place”. The last 10-15 years has slowly gotten us to this level. RV is only the most recent D bag to lead us in the direction of directionless.

Look up how much that POS makes. He doesnt give a rats a-s about any of us. Even if he got let go, he never has to worry for the rest of his life while we are struggling to pay bills and buy groceries

He is simply the buzz saw that our board of directors bought to use. They want to take care of investors and traders only. They are gambling that clients are too weary and time worn to go elsewhere. As for employees, LOL. We are chicken beaks and a-holes to them and they control the KFC bucket. This can’t last and there is more to a company than it’s stock price.
