@23v a lot of people cover gaps in childcare by working from home in the afternoons. Schools let out at 230-3, you work until 5 and there are no after school programs. School doesn't start until 830-9. Obviously people who have kids home full time when they worked from home abused it, but RTO presents serious logistical challenges for a lot of families. Like, some areas done then have bus routes anymore because of driver shortages or routes cut due to budgets. So, there's merit to the question.
@23v people that weren't required to go into the office before RTO are not and never were the problem. Nor were the people that were hybrid. This would have happened regardless of any of that. This is solely on our sh---y, out of touch managing committee.
@26d It's not misdirected. I agree it's the executives, but what do people think they're going to do when they openly admit they are caring for their kids during work hours and go on vacation. I don't care if people do that or where they work, but shut up about it.
@23v - your anger is misguided. The only ones ruining things are the executives making stupid decisions to force people into the office. If they had just left things alone at “moments that matter,” everything would have been fine.
Just cut to the chase, get good old fashioned punch clocks.
If people would have just gone in a couple times a week before this 3 day mandate and stopped bi--hing about it, we wouldn't have gotten to this point. You ruined it for everyone.
Don't get me started on the a--hats who asked "who is going to watch my kids if we RTO?"
@22e There was a post in this thread earlier in the week with these exact instructions that got deleted. I guess management doesn't want us to know that we are being tracked.
@20e
Open software self service and look for a program called Work Process Analytics. If it's there, Sapience is on your PC.
Another way is to open task and look for
"leaf". If it's there, it's tracking you at that very moment.
@18w Can you see 'Sapience' in your software center or is it listed with a different title? Was your team informed in advance that it was being installed?
@ak badge swipes can be added for leaving. Energy Park has this in place.
@18j I’ve had it installed on my computer for well over a year now and it is NOT just being used for contractors. They’re actively monitoring data from everyone in my entire area.
USB has installed Sapience which allows them to track all your movements on your workstation. They said it is only being used for contractors however my manager told me that he can see my daily and average work time as well.
@jk or you could just mind your own business?
Hope so. I’m ready for people to be held accountable.
They are able to monitor VPN usage and have been for a while now. It will be even easier once they implement the changes to how/when Ivanti is accessed when logging in to the network in office vs at home. It is also why they’re pushing new login methods like Face ID.
It seems as if it is only a latter of time before swiping out or vpn tracking will be instituted.
I've heard rumors they're working on VPN reporting, but we'll see.
@OP no. Badge swipes are for entry. Not leaving.
