@ap Maurice is in over his head and clearly quite compliant. He does not do the work necessary to keep up with change or create it. Nor do his reports, or theirs.

How would he know? His pay doubles every year and is the highest in the industry, he probably thinks he's the best there is. It's not like he's reading the Pulse surveys.

We were never the focus. As stated above- he was the hand picked patsy and he has done it well.

@OP No. He was hand-selected and groomed for this job by the Board of Directors. They have a corporate vision and strategies to get there.
Looking back, employee engagement fell off and the disconnect between Csuite and us regular employees started when we no longer felt like stakeholders, like we did when we were a smaller company. It has become apparent that we are employees, and only employees. Good leaders know how to bridge the gap. I hope he finds a way.
