Multi was to let most go, They don't have to do a big layoff it's designed to make you fail. Most in the dept are on a plan. Shame Shame on Wayfair.

@15r They post for help in the chat and when you look at the order 30 mins later you see wrap as transfer. They do this to avoid csat and fcr, its pathetic. Management turn a blind eye to it. Its hurting their coworkers, QC increases the % when they see a handful of people hit their insane goal. Their coworkers get fired for doing what they are supposed to do and as they get the bad csat and hit on fcr.
Offshore multi has been fully trained up.
@17h I've watched so many get let go in a short period of time. We're all just a number you included. I'm good thanks though.
Let's keep in mind that when we transfer to frontline and sales, it shows as a non wrap because we do not wrap those. also when the wrong order pulls up and we have to search for another one, the AI also sees that as We touched the order and didn't wrap on it Even when we've done nothing with it, let's stop bashing each other. We're all on the same team
Sounds like someone has bad metrics. You must feel that you are so good at your job that there would be no way someone could get better metrics then you unless they cheat. Don't worry about what other people are doing and work harder on what YOU are doing to get better. I know the metrics are rough to hit. We are all in the same boat. It su-ks!
Theres plenty of people not wrapping and its not system issues, they are doing it to better their metrics.
I hope you realize that people who do not wrap are not getting higher metrics! Wrapping is also something they have to adhere to or lose their jobs! You're showing your ignorance. Not wrapping is usually system issue or another call comes in before they can wrap. It is not worth losing a job over. Think before you speak.
FWIW I was a fly on the wall when it was being designed and it absolutely was not “designed to let you go”. Complaints are VERY legitimate, but framing in this way just reinforces theService L1 stereotype that makes offshoring make sense to corporate employees.
Yup I see a lot of that on the orders, 1 lady that I keep seeing wraps as transfer continuously. Its shameful, so many honest workers have been fired and the metric manipulators keep their jobs and get high bonuses.
Only those who cheat by not wrapping and lying to customers hang onto their jobs in this dept. They skew the metrics for the honest workers.
They wouldn't need Multi if the actual onshore frontline teams did their job properly. Spend time on your work not in here crying
They have offshore multi contact ready for the takeover of the dept.
@gd you are not safe.. they moved people up no choice gave them a big raise and now to let them go. If you think you can keep. Your fcr above the depts min good luck. We are handling the same calls frontline is and we are supposed to be the last contact.. make it make sense.
@gd this is the worst take ever. Do you also thank them after they deny you promo and strip away perks and benefits? I'm not even in MCA and the fact you spend your time standing up for your department is shameful. The reality is that given the job market it's cheaper to rehire for cheaper and onboard then keep someone around. In 1 to 2 years that department will stop hiring because they found exceptionally cheap labor to do the work. In all departments they're slowly phasing out expensive labor for cheaper more junior talent. If you are tasked to support someone with onboarding then you are training your replacement, you just don't know it yet. Rough KPI and unachievable targets either cause burnout or voluntarily turnover or termination with cause.
Think twice before standing up for a corporation that cares little about you. Wake up.
They are hiring a new class for multi, its fire and hire in that dept, no one is safe. Beyond toxic.
While I understand your thought on more people being hired to MCO. Alot of people in MCO are higher paid employees. New hires do not make the same amount unless they have been with Wayfair a long time. Get rid of higher paid people and save money for the company. Seems like a lot less people in MCO right now. People leaving and being fired. Missing how Wayfair used to be. They are becoming the company they refused to be back when the culture was not as toxic.
While I can understand your frustration with the KPIs, I hate mine as well. They have repeatedly hired over the last two years for MCU, in the NA, including a class about to start.
If this was a method to fire without layoff, they wouldn’t replace the people.
