Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

So who else isn't getting a bonus this year?

Got a "first and final" warning about Connect Week attendance today, specifically time spent in office rather than badging in and out. And no bonus for me this year as a result. Pretty floored although I guess it's better than being fired with no warning? Am I the only one?

Does anyone know if you miss a Connect week, does it count in your favor if you come in during a non-connect week?

@fd - ya do the minimum and no more - that's my new motto

@17h - upper management doesn't care if they have someone who is an all star - they only care about conforming to HRs measurements of in-office attendance. Meanwhile the best employees are walking out the door and then the leftovers are trying to solve things that they are just incapable of.

Fidelity HR is absolutely stupid for this petty move. They are giving the equivalent 20 year sentences for jaywalking. Our best engineer was working from home here and there last winter to help her husband get to cancer treatments. Her performance was never in doubt and she would work as much as the rest of us. She ended up with an IP and no bonus and already gave her notice. Meanwhile people half as good as her are in the office doing close to nothing and Fidelity is good with that. Abby, if you read these, your dog sh-t HR department is going to destroy your family's company. Embarrassing.

Stupid people make stupid mistakes, you get what you get.

@mb
Not really sure why you think that. In giving this person a final notice, they are obligated to uphold it, unless they miss more time.

The ones that got ZERO. You will be gone in the next 60 days. Get your resume up to date. Sad to say but if you got EP you too are gone in the next 60 days as you may fit the documentation trail the company needs but you are now to expensive. Bye Bye your years of service don’t mean cr-p - you are dismissed.

Tough! Some of us travels 4hrs a day for that one week and stay in the office for at least 7 hrs! Good job here Fid!

No, you’re not alone. First and Final warning, no bonus.

I agree, they were very clear. You go to work for a paycheck, so you need to do the minimum they’re asking of you to get that paycheck.

I’m not happy reading that this happened to you but they’ve been very clear that not adhering (while a majority of other associates do adhere and make the sacrifice to come to the office) will be met with consequences. Imagine if you just had come in and got your full bonus?

I just heard that this exact unfortunate event happened to a teammate. They had amazing performance. This was solely due to doing the “coffee swipe” one day a week during in office weeks.

I don’t think the issue is the hours, but rather not coming to the office during the connect weeks. If your rating is IP, it usually means no bonus or only a small one.

My bonus was huge.

My manager told me it was because so many people got zero due to non-compliance with return to work policies.

You’re loss, my gain.

Bwahahahaha….

I, too, received this unfortunate news. Not only that, I applied for and received an accommodation in June, so was waived from coming in the office from that point. Losing my bonus was due to inadequate time in office from January-June. I was in office, but not as many hours as they would like. Honestly, coming into the office was difficult, due to the reason for my accommodation. And yes, there was no warning or communication that you would lose your ENTIRE bonus. And no prior warning due to this "Final Warning." I'm not sure who in HR or higher up thought this would be a good idea. I definitely see Fidelity in a different light now.

What do you mean time spent in office? How long were you in office for that you got a warning like that
