I'd bet that even after these layoffs, you'll still see those same positions advertised...

Yep, you are 100% correct.
OT has to 'give the appearance' of having a needed 'robust' hiring plan for potential PE Firms and other investors.
There is a PID purge so unless there is a PID tied to the posting it’s a ghost just to give the appearance that we are still hiring.
We hired the only employee any company needs: GitHub Copilot
To be fair - most of those are ghost jobs as well. Aside from sales OT really isn't hiring rn.
We're mostly back in a hiring freeze. Especially with the layoff speculation for next week or two. Even if it was an engineering gig, they'd likely decline you and call visa time or offshore it.
But hey cant tell the shareholders growth isnt forever ig.
