Thread regarding AMD (Advanced Micro Devices Inc.) layoffs

Is amd having layoff again. Why are all silent layoff

I think some kind of silent layoff and organizational changes are happening.

@164

This happens in Toronto if you are the right ic-nationality or childhood friends with a certain “big shot”

I don't know why AMD cant offer a package for some people to leave voluntarily. This solves AMD's problems as well as some employee's problems they face at AMD

It is Canada and Texas lay off this round. Calgary, Vancouver, duplicate function.

Add 2000 more jobs in India 2 months ago and a further $400M over next years.

Lisa financial track are not good.

Layoffs are and will continue to be a regular thing at AMD. Not surprised at all after what I've seen so far when a co worker is terminated. It's a FOR PROFIT company above all else. Our jobs will never be secure at a company like this. Will take the first opportunity to leave 100%. Not worth it at all and with how the leadership/management is at this company. Sh-t is a dumpster fire.
