Just cut the rest of MRO, Shell's and Concho staff and bob's your uncle. I mean, that was the plan all along right ?

I mean it will give you some cushion for sure. . . .but you will have to work again.
Let's agree on the wording, "it provides a unique opportunity"
@17f you’ll make 100k a year. Then you get the option to get a 1 time 200k payout, that’s life changing money if it isn’t for you then you either have no bills or no family. Then add the highest bonus from the past 3 years, plus 7% for your 401k match, plus cobra payout, plus LTIP and stock vesting plus vacation payout.Thats life changing money for anybody, don’t act like it’s not.
@163 I mean it's 104 weeks max. I don't know about "life changing." 2 years salary for free is cool and all but... if it's high enough to be "life changing" they already had a high salary... and to them it's probably not life changing anyway.
If any former MRO/now COP personnel is laid off within 2 years they are still paid out their full severance package. From what I’ve heard, it would be life-changing money for alot of them. Ive also heard that now that they are at COP and see how things are done, they would really welcome that lay off.
@m2 AMEN! stop putting the UK expats at the top of these American companies.
I would start with heritage Phillips, then ARCO then Burlington . Eliminate all UK expats. That would be a good start.
Yeah that makes sense, cut the guys actually making the money instead of the dead weight in Houston lol.
The problem with that is most of the people retained from those companies are better / more skilled / more efficient than their COP counterparts. Except for Shell they’ve had to operate without the bloat.
