Renewed focus on remote employees?

Is there any truth behind a mid year focus on impacting remote employees? I heard there is but can’t comprehend how we can continue to lose people while the scope of work increases. ODW isn’t helping with workload (at least yet) and using AI only provides a temporary security blanket to speed some things up (while quality goes down).

I’m outside sales and never come into the office, does that count?

@15y

You’re fired. Nobody fires people better than me, folks. Nobody. People come up to me all the time and say, ‘Sir, how do you do it?’ I say, it’s a talent. A tremendous talent. Some people build buildings, some people do deals, I perfected firing. Many people are saying I practically invented it. Believe me.

Probably just the boss blowing smoke, but oue team was told anyone not coming in to the office will be first up on tbe next lsuoff wave. Personally I think it's BS ASad we're already unable to provide adequate weekend coverage or have more than one person put on vacation/sick time on a given day without the sh-t hitting the fan.

OMG really?? Who really believes that most to all remotes will be let go? I won't say what org I work in...but 75 to 90 percent of the folks I work with...(entire org globally) ARE remote. Including and especially leadership. Not going to happen ..
Or it will take quite some time. I am one of maybe 5 people on rto...out of the larger 30 plus people...and there is NO WAY they will cut the remotes I work with. Snap out of it.
:-o)

Remotes need to get their as--s into the office like everyone else. If they don’t, they will be terminated.

Someone you know is globally famous for the catchphrase "You're fired!”

His signature elimination phrase is being saved for Dell remotes next.

The focus should be renewed on bringing back remote work. I could use another remote work stipend

Here in Germany, we are still unable to submit out time cards as the system does not work for us. This ist great to see that the testing that was done is good.

how ODW can help with work?

its just oracle cloud with extremely sh---y frontend. They could not even migrate data from old HR systems here for my coworkers and me.

@aw
Agreed! Gotta love that "frictionless authentication" where after clicking use single sign on i still have to authenticate using MFA on my mobile multiple times a day.

ODW is a complete joke and failure. And the AI tools we have available to us are anything other than productive.
