Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Fraudulent Managers

Managers who took money from people raises and gave them to other people last year should be fired.

Some folks got 0% because their managers manipulated the merit scheme. After working hard all year their merit got siphoned to other people, totally cheating the "merit scheme"

A check should be performed in workday and the dodgy mangers removed immediately.

I 100% know that I was told even though I deserved a merit rise, I would not get one because of 2 reasons.

My grade was to high to get a Merit rise

And

There were others at our place who were getting it, just because they didn't get paid that much and where close to being on minimum wage..... (but didn't warrant a merit raise)

So in truth this was not a merit raise but, was in fact a way to increase the wages of those who where close to mine wage......

The useless Brock when challenged about manipulating pay raises openly said on a call that he doesnt believe there are good employees.

He thinks that the experienced engineers dont deserve a pay rise, he was arguing against his own leaders on the call until he realised his view was way out. He lives on a different planet.

Until you have rses like Brock in management positions DXC is going to disapear.

@177+1jsmv5861 I stay because....

WFH is 100%.
I don't need to start again somewhere new. But another years salary is always welcome.
I might get a redundancy?
I figured you can pi-s about, and still get the same pay rise. Management haven't got a clue.

Reasons to go:
I did used to enjoy it. But I don't anymore.
The salary is insulting.
I don't need the money.
I don't need the tie.
Colleagues are incompetent.
Management don't care.
You can't get anything done without a fight that I'm not longer prepared to have.

So on balance I might have already left in spirit at least. Just not digitally. I still login. Is that really all they need me to do to get the same 0% as everyone else?

"You can only play this game for so long"

Where are we at with this though? Certainly it's eight years now. Even more if you come from CSC...

For all of the anger on here it's certainly not the case that people have all quit due to it.

I guess there are lots of reasons why that might not be the case, probably mainly the "cash back" from wfh... But even that "bonus" is getting eaten up by inflation.

You can only play this game for so long, before the staff who have carried this place for years give up. Either they walk out the door and you just lost all their knowledge or they intentionally withhold it and stop helping. Either way. The company has shown there are no consequences for not trying. You might actually get a redundancy for being useless.

: @156+1jsmv5861 you seem to forget that the company growth strategy is all about margin expansion by suppressing employee wages.

That is the reason for all of this messing about. They just won't come out and say it for obvious reasons...

@14w+1jsmv5861 The point of a merit scheme is if you have worked hard and delivered you should be merited with a pay raise. Through this customers and contracts are retained and renewed.

You shouldn't need to change your role or do a different work or any other excuse not to pay you the merit.

Merit should be simple, and can be demonstrated by the work you have done and through feedback received.

STOP Making execuses to exclude good people from pay rises!

If you dont get a raise after you have delivered its pointless stop going the extra mile. The Manager needs to be fired.

Isn't that the purpose of merit though? Someone higher ranked gets more than some lower ranked. Merit isn't everybody gets some i know 1s that got 0 percent because their pool was so low. Don't blame the lower mangers blame the top who siphoned off millions for themselves prior to creating the pool...

It’s a rotten, stinking company, with some rotten ‘managers’ - the end…

Sadly, most of the DXC workforce is up north, and the jobs in the local markets are not here but down south.

DXC know this, so as much as we complain, they know there isn’t an awful lot we can do.
