You can't run massive enterprise on the cloud
Air gapped and latency critical environments like a bank cannot use the cloud
Yes agree, meraki was easy to use, but for enterprise power users it's not suitable

Having led the enterprise Meraki team for a few years many customers sought out Meraki but we stopped innovating after 2020 and we could address the needs of enterprises upmarket without them changing their philosophy on things. CLI access, more advanced features, chassis switches all of which happened later but it’s really not “Meraki easy” anymore. I think Cisco ultimately failed to really take advantage of what they have and Mist came in and took enterprise customers who wanted cloud.

Meraki was purchased for the cloud native features not the hardware
Look at every AP and most switches now they have the option of Meraki out of the box
@bn Meraki needed to be domesticated, too expensive to operate, only attractive to Small Medium Business while expecting large profit margins. If a switch is selling on Amazon, that is not an enterprise grade switch.
