Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

More WFR is here.....

That didnt take long huh. A rather pointless exercise, with HR and the big cheeses knowing full well it was coming 6 months ago. Shame - had hoped for better. Thats the HPE way we've been hearing about and now finding out its a reality!

Clearly you know alot about being performative and you still have a job. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.

Your wife apparently knows more about the company than you do. You’re not giving them insider knowledge, are you?

You’re probably that one person who posts here from time to time who uses their wife as a self insert of themselves.

My wife asked when HPE will finally dump those performative women who don’t really do anything, and save money. She said, “Isn’t this a business? Guys do more work than them.” She’s not wrong.

@yk SE Org: Let's see what happens now that Nutanix is going back to Nutanix. The showboating should stop soon, we hope.

@wv I think a lot of people care. Dr. Gartner is well known for throwing his colleagues under the bus. Do you want to be the next victim? Management like this needs to go. Plus all the showboating?

They made two people in my department take early retirement last week and this week we are interviewing several people in Bangalore to backfill their position. Storage

Are the new layoffs part of the layoffs announced in 2025 or is this something new?

@dm It's now called the HPE way: Follow the latest enterprise tech trend to increase the stagnant stock price while reducing costs. And that latest tech trend is AI, which has given HPE a little bump in the stock price over the past flat decade. The most important asset is not the employees, but the shareholders!

Work harder everyone! You've got AI tools now! Gotta make the HPE stock price go up!

Note: I don't own any HPE/HPQ, but we employees gotta think of the shareholders!🤣

Where are the redundancies expected to occur? Have the individuals been contacted yet?

@dz Individuals being told by managers as part of another round of reductions. Its not being sung from the rooftops as it looks bad, but the shareholders will be pleased. All at a time a record Q1 is announced ...

Is there anyone here who can explain what is happening? Has there been an official announcement?

The HP Way was dropped around Y2K. It's all just lip service since then. If you worked for HP before 2000 you would know that truth.
