Reorg Roulette: DXC IT’s Masterclass in Mismanagement

DXC IT has been undergoing a prolonged reorganization process, during which communication with employees has been notably lacking. Many individuals have been left uncertain for months regarding their future within the organization, creating a sense of instability and anxiety. The approach has raised concerns about fairness and transparency, with decisions appearing to be influenced more by bias and favoritism than by objective assessments of qualifications or fit. Additionally, there is a perception that IT leadership discourages open dialogue, potentially suppressing those who raise valid concerns in order to avoid scrutiny.

If it is really that bad, why are y'all staying here. Either you are with us or you are against us.

@14n I wouldn't limit that comment to just I.T. It's the worst run company I have ever been involved in for any industry. They all have their issues and cultures. I really do want to add value, but it's become near impossible. Why fight for something the management clearly don't have any intention of delivering. You won't pay me or my colleagues a fair and balance salary and you wonder why nobody is helpful anymore...

I’m starting to hear about our best and brightest leaving on their own leaving us with those who know nothing about our business. It’s incredibly sad to see after 8 plus years here. I’m now watching the CES org dismantle all the good work done over the last 3 years and we will be left with nothing. No real leaders will remain and all that will be left are people who just take orders and agree with Howard knowing he has absolutely no idea what he is doing. I believe this is part of the CEOs master plan. Ki-l any value in DXC and sell this thing off piece by piece. He will make a bunch of money as will his cronies. The rest of the people who matter and their families will suffer. HR and the board should be very proud of themselves.

They will only get rid of those of us who call out how sh-t the company is. Or those who make management look utterly stupid. The staff have no power. They took it all off us by deunionising the organisation long ago. You can either get out or play the you want the paperwork, here's the paperwork, it's probably wrong but it wastes a lot of time game.

@ep+1jsr92qs7 who is this dik "Newcastle Steve Brock" ?

We need to move forwards, these id--ts need to be identified and ejected, otherwise the company will keep shrinking.

@bk+1jsr92qs7 I wish I'd realised when I declined a previous offer and decided to stay that it actually meant I'd signed an agreement to never get another pay rise out of DXC, no matter what role I was placed in. It finally clicked about 5 years in, and I started taking my rise by doing less and less every year so that at least I feel my hourly rate is ok.

@bk+1jsr92qs7 I don't believe anyone leaves DXC and gets a lower paid job. I do think some leave, and realise the company gave them no skills for the real world of I.T. and they decide not to go after another role because they've been so worn down they've had enough of a career in corporate I.T. bullsh-t.

Until they get rid off the geordie Newcastle Steve Brocks in the organization nothing will change.

There's too many Brock type leaders who are looking backwards at what they can squeeze rather than how to grow DXC.

Unfortunately they don't have the skills and they dont want to learn growth. They are are happy at shrinking the company every quarter.

Mindsets need to change!

They no clue who does what. What needs doing. Who would or should be able to do that. How much the job is worth. How many people are required. They try and change something and someone tells them why it can't be done. You want a job doing around here - it's impossible.

The inability to get on with it seems to stem from the cio who appears to be hopelessly out of his depth and busy only reorganising the icons on his desktop.

What a disaster.

I think most people will agree that, actually losing your job at DXC through redundancy is like winning the lottery. You either get paid an extra years salary that you weren't expecting at the end of your career. Or get to go work for a company who's sole aim isn't to make you as miserable as possible. The company however hopes you'll just quit and it doesn't need to make any pay out.
