If your guy or gal was really the best, he/she would have been one of the very few who would have gotten promoted four times in four years. APA would never cut them.

Prepare a fallback plan: Apache is not geared to last long. It’s an enterprise with deep liabilities and non revenue financial/regulatory responsibilities. once North Sea gets shut in and Egypt starts expropriating things will get interesting. Drill quick and produce aggressively. The company will go bankrupt and attempt to cleanly extricate itself from heavy Gulf of America and Nor5h Sea liabilities. The future is mailbox money from Suriname or the BoD ..

everyone left here is just riding a good paycheck to milk it till the end or a better offer comes along. we’ve cut to keep the doors open but there isn’t a future…just a paycheck till the next comes along

Please share the scenario? What happened? it’s tough to cream type curves when management when management has to deliver a slide or a talking point and the analyst require substantiation? Who was his direct boss and asset manager?
Money, money, money. What else matters to management? Gotta exceed the cost cutting goal to maximize their bonus. Besides planning knows more about reserves than engineering.
