We aren’t buying anything in Canada let alone OVV
@12e you're a bully and incorrect about many things. But clearly I can't argue with stupid. You lack reading comprehension skills and I still recommend therapy.
this bro nut is wigged out on this rumor post. get a grip there’s people losing jobs now at most all companies and soon here. go cry about your id--tic rumor post elsewhere.
Wasn't my thread and you're on it shrug
Not sure why you have so much animosity against a stranger you incorrectly think is a bro but I do recommend therapy.
Bro no one cares about your stupid rumors nor do they care about taking over your useless thread. Go back to your snapc h a t, you’ll be on it at home during the day in a few months.
Well bro... I'm not a bro. Secondly, the subject of this threat is solely OVV.
If you want to take over a thread about OVV and start talking about Oxy, proceed I guess.
Know it’s hard for you bro, but people can have two thoughts at one time bro, OVV and OXY.
OVV does not = Oxy... lol
Warren Buffet would never allow Oxy to be sold to a POS company like ours. XOM or CVX would be the ones if it would ever be put up for sale.
Posting BS like this OP seems to be a distraction to what’s happening behind the scenes with the upcoming rounds of layoffs.
A bigger player will buy Oxy.
COP couldn’t even clean their toilets.
@fy Interesting claim based off of no relevant information. I don't get the impression you understand how these things work all that well.
Glad you started this with the word Rumor. It is a bad one at that.
The truth is that COP is preparing itself to be acquired. A small player in the field of oil with numerous small acquisitions in its history. The company was spun off CC DuPont years ago as a no valued added holding.
Schell is in the hunt for BP. Exxon or Chevron could buy this for no sweat. Remaining employees after this layoff would be gone. Large companies swallow small companies and retain few, if any. This cut coming shortly is in preparation of the BIG move. Find a home quick, or don’t complain about your future .

@ax so was Marathon's, but we bought them anyways. No great locations left.
There will absolutely be more acquisitions but not OVV. Since we’ve proven we can’t find resources by ourselves, the only way to grow is by buying other more successful companies and quit pretending we’re doing it “organically”. The brave new world of COP. Thanks RL and ELT.
OVV?! Their acreage is all drilled up! D-mb
@ad Appears to be we are in the business of acquiring assets (production and reserves) only, they can keep any and all employees. The assets should be bolt on to be viable and compete in our portfolio with other projects.
I don't see that happening, OVV I mean, and I don't get the impression you're a COP employee.
While acquisitions in general can result in more layoffs, what's going on currently is a re-org needed regardless of the Marathon acquisition. It should take the Marathon and future acquisitions into account. Future acquisitions may result in more layoffs, yes, probably mostly for the acquired company.
The Marathon acquisition layoff already occurred and consisted of Marathon employees. The COP layoffs due to the re-org are in progress.
