Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

Competitor layoffs

Looks like all of the competition are also going through major layoffs or restructuring. One of the companies I was looking at (Verizon) to move to just announced a 15,000 person cut.

The did massive layoffs in the region for the last 3 years in a row. As I’m sure you know, this year they decimated division by getting rid of most middle management jobs there. Who knows. This place is robbing Peter to pay Paul and even the shareholders aren’t filled anymore. Record profits with massive layoffs and the stock STILL dumped off after the 3rd quarter report. Comcast is going through its death cycle now and only the rich white people who have been at this company since the Stone Age will remain until they fly off with their golden parachutes.

Yes, most are ‘cutting’ by offshoring. The jobs available overseas across just one company (Comcast) well exceeds 90. I have to wonder if the regions will feel the heat of these layoffs soon? Some barely work at the same level of others and were mentioned to be consolidated years ago.
