they should go to jail for this
Is anyone shocked by this? I mean, really?
well said @nc
@11k
That’s nothing. Every American resident PII is out there if you know where to look.
The fact that the EVP of Corporate Affairs posted about it and called it an "integrity" matter indicates something shady definitely occurred (https://x.com/danbartlett6/status/1960046954685382741)
I suspect he's being technically accurate but misleading saying it had nothing to do with H-1Bs.
@tt - All you have to do is review the Walmart news items from days back. Many mainstream news sources covered the story. I’m pretty sure I saw 3 or 4 stories while looking at the yahoo WMT ticker the other day. The story is legit - Walmart exec was let go.
@tt, I'm sure you're an Indian.
I work for Fidelity and its Indian office has access to PII, financial and household information of 30~50 million Americans.
Not only is Walmart giving American jobs to people from India, they give them full access to customer and associate data. From what I can tell India is an ally to Russia, China, and North Korea. I agree the Congress needs to do a deep dive into what they have done with all this personal information. How careless!!
I'm not sure what to believe about this contractor / VP issue. Who ever the primary poster is--- he or she is on a mission. How about some actual facts from a major news organization or the the US government ( ie an investigation etc...). vs wild internet message board and Reddit posts? Internet BS is not gonna cut it.
I don’t doubt this happened just like stated in that article.
We should demand a congressional investigation into Walmart’s use of H1B. Track back each placement to ask the manager of that area what exactly he/she did to find a US worker to fill the position before getting an H1B worker in there.
