How is Cathy Cox allowed to run MGO in San Antonio AND run everything in Charlotte wearing fuzzy slippers from her home? She is a VP for crying out loud! I was denied remote but you let her do it? Laughable! I am sending a note to Tammy and Juan because this is so unfair!

@2xc You have no upward potential working from home, so no, not jealous. But you sound like a real peach.
@by Jealous much? You don’t know the circumstances for some - not everyone takes advantage. I have the option to request accommodation to work remotely for medical reasons but decided with my boss that for now it is okay to do 1/2 days in office and I still put in more than 8 hours.
The problem isn’t that she’s remote. The problem is she’s running MGO.
@11d how has Joe not figured out that she doesn’t work? And why does Brian tolerate it?
No different than my VP Christy Kaufman who spends her weeks running around to conferences. Honestly, it’s embarrassing. Her LinkedInis packed with one conference after another.
Urethral sounding until you’re writhing in your own mess!
If they ever try and force work at home for five days a week, I wouldn’t bring up the fact that executive management does not report to an office so why should we?
@OP What in the Wild Wild West? How is she our site leader? This can NOT be true. Tell me this is not true.
@cj it will very soon.
My team member drives to the office to scan her badge and then turns around and goes back home. The reporting hasn’t picked up on it.
So I guess if i can get my work done at home in six hours, then its fine too???
Rules for me and not for thee apparently…
@by if they’re getting their job done, why do you care? Maybe you should focus on your own job instead of tracking how long employees sit in their seats.
Oh thats nothing. There are people who only work four hours at the office and then work at home the other four.
Must be nice…
She should be fired for more than working from home in fuzzy slippers. How about incompetence? How long are they going to have these people continue to ruin the company?!?
Rules for thee!
It sounds like you’re new to the corporate world, but it’s simple. USAA wants to retain this person and they want you to leave along with everyone else they’re denying exceptions for.
