Thread regarding Paramount Global layoffs

Short version of the site’s content rules (copy-paste from one of the previous posts here):

• no excessive use of foul language
• no threats & violence, bullying, slandering
• no personal names /initials (ok to name c-suites as they are public figures, not ok to name a middle manager or an employee)
• no personal info of any kind (regardless of one’s position)
• no racial/ethnic slurs
• no offtopics - political, religious rants etc
• no asking for votes (of any kind - political, union, etc)

Site mods usually just delete the post in violation, but sometimes they put you on blacklist/block you from posting any further (can be skipped by using VPN).

@a6 my Contention is that prior to the Revolutionary War, especially in the Southern modalities, can most aptly be described as gregarian, blah blah blah blah blah. @12p You are right about names, I had posts deleted as well. I do think the ELT are the exception, since they're public figures, but I could be wrong.

Look, what the fu-k is wrong with you? I’m not the mod here. I didn’t write that rule. I just wanted to explain why people do use initials around here. My posts were deleted in the past. Who the fu-k knows why they didn’t delete yours? Maybe didn’t see it yet, maybe PW is a big enough name (it’s all over the news anyways) so they wont delete it. Who the fu-k knows what’s on their mind? Just wanted to explain, because you clearly weren’t aware, no need to attack the messenger.

@dg lol again you don’t work at paramount if you don’t know the guy who had 25% of all Paramount resources. You also don’t work at Paramount if you don’t know that we are a tech first company. Go back to your mom’s basement and continue to look for a job.

Omg these tech guys with no real identity or stake in the company are running these posts. God save us all from the geeks nobody ever deals with.. the loners of the company spinning webs nobody cares about.

PW will be missed by many. Instead of complaining and thinking of yourself . remember that he led us through some of the most challenging times. Would like to see you do that. I didn’t agree with him all the time but he gave many of us a safe space to debate.

@a6 no replacement as far as I heard. CIO will be reporting to DG and take on some of Phil’s reports and the rest of PW reports will also work for DG. I suppose things will change once WBD tech org is integrated.

I’m surprised. He seemed to offer steady leadership. I wonder what their plans are. Who’s replacing him?
