@x06 this is Indian and consultancy takeover. It ends up with disastrous consequences for businesses.

@10vq Unfortunately fellow indians & colleagues also have to face the consequences for not agreeing the decisions of indian origin leadership .

@eh3 "Being from Hyd office, we always see how the management stoop low when any leadership comes from USA for visit. The way they play politics against other team members is ridiculous."

It's in Indian DNA - all people I know in the US and Europe see the same behaviour regardless of the company. It's sickening. Once you get Indian in a managerial position, the entire department is fu..ed. It's like a cancer.

@1xef Absolutely true...Managers,directors & senior directors just want to please their bosses and keep their jobs. ..They dont even mind firing the people who disagree with them.... I am not really sure how F5 had got all the junk people in seattle, Hyd etc... May be recommendations and referrals play good at F5.

F5 can never become a happy place to work with the corrupt and incapable leadership. Being from Hyd office, we always see how the management stoop low when any leadership comes from USA for visit. The way they play politics against other team members is ridiculous.

“ Sad to see how negative an impression people have of Indians after working with lots of them”, unfortunately it is not your Indian colleagues to blame. You can blame Indian higher managements, who effectively captured F5 and running the show very badly.

We're certainly going to experience more indian colleagues as new leadership in SDC get their footing. Would not be surprised to see a shift out of the US soon, biases have already been shown.

I decided to look for employment elsewhere. Hackerone looks super interesting. They have a workplace where everyone is valued and heard.

Sad to see how negative an impression people have of Indians after working with lots of them. I personally still think positively about indian colleagues on an individual level but when there's three or more of them in a meeting or on a small team they hijack every meeting with Indian topics that no one else cares about. It would be funny if it wasn't such a colossal waste of time.

"F5 offshore especially Hyderabad had become a sh-t hole with worthless directors and senior managers who just play politics and promote favoritism..."
Agree. I guess, the same culture is more in San Jose. It is even more prominent here. There are groups from different segments of India (south, west, north, east) an example of total nepotism. Most of the managers knows how to clean bottoms of there managers and don't care for engineers reporting them.

“F5 offshore especially Hyderabad had become a sh-t hole with worthless directors and senior managers who just play politics and promote favoritism to sustain.A bunch of b*s & goons.”

It's so true! Only people who have experienced this can understand, especially those who live in the United States and have suffered because of it. All thumbs-down on the comment are surely from those directors and senior managers.

I love this thread. Looks like a lot of current F5 employees appear to be really pi---d about someone losing their pride in the company while said individual is still employed. Face it. F5 exists to benefit the shareholders, not you. If you're a loyal employee who can magically make it to 20 years, kudos to you, you're in the minority. Labor is the #1 cost of an enterprise. That's where the cuts come first when times get truly tough. F5 is not out of the woods at all. Shifting labor offshore has kept F5 humming along. The more that high cost North American labor can be downsized or replaced with AI, then yes, you should be looking over your shoulder and keeping your resume ready.

Haha. I was speaking to the previous comment of mine "You don’t fight, you ignore. You care about your small area of responsibility for what you get paid." This is the mentality that will cause F5 to die. We need passion in this company for it to survive and innovate.

“Your lack of care has a negative impact on the company. You can hate me, but it's true. Please resign.”

You know what has a negative impact on the company? Yes Men. They don’t tell the leadership what they need to hear. They just paint a perfect picture of their departments and when the revenue doesn’t come in, they just bury their heads. Everyone need some “negativity” to improve. Without improvement, F5 dies. Which it is. Because people like you can’t handle criticism and use it to improve. Now go back and bury your head. You’re too chicken **** to resign.

I feel that. I fight too many middle managers and bureaucracy all the time, not sure what they all do, while Im getting burnt out. I voice my concerns and feel like no one is listening. I write things on the company survey and what has improved since the last one?
At least I enjoy the Wellness Weekends, thank you Ana!
