All band 4+ employees must plan their succession (replacement) and justify their skills via Workday before the end of the month. Data will be used for more layoffs and offshoring.

$50million in ops cuts may be their goal but they seem to have forgotten that settling legal disputes due to unethical and illegal ways of doing business will eat what they’ve saved right up.
Why leadership is so keen on helping the billionaires sc--w their peers, that they barely make more than, I will never understand. Wake up.
“Exercise” on band 4s is real for PSO and yes they do it regularly, but this time it is definitely for layoffs. Heard first hand from a director that they have a directive to cut $50m in ops spending.
@10t Wow , laid off twice ?? How did that happen ? Can you share more ?
I've been laid off twice by Cigna. I can confirm that being asked to update your info in Workday/confirm your PTO balance in Workday is something they do before layoffs. It doesn't mean that you will be laid off, but it does mean that they are reviewing your department, and preparing for potential layoffs. There is a good chance that you or your teammates will be laid off within the next three months or so.
I don’t understand the big deal . Have been asked to do it since last 4 years.
So, what will y'all do on September 2nd when this is a proven lie?
"All band 4+ employees must..."
"all"? Sh-t, I must have just received an impromptu, unannounced promotion!
Be certain before you issue blanket statements when you don't know your an-s from a hole in the ground. Maybe you'll look a little less foolish next time
Same, our band 4 team works in data ops and we all were asked to update our workday info with our current skills and experience. I have yet to do it myself even though it's a month overdue. If they want to fire me they will.
@e5 It’s definitely true for employees in HIH 👍
@e5 Either HR or drinking heavily of the koolaid.
@e5
Retain? What’s the name of this site that you just posted on?
I was a high band 4 Sr. Manager, and this is absolutely correct. My Senior Director was doing this the beginning of the year.
@ah not true. The business wants people to grow. Money was spent to coach, train, and retain.
I am also a Band 4 and haven't been asked to do this.
I'm band 4 and haven't been told to do any of this.
Yes, being told to ensure your info in workday is updated/current info on it and has your correct personal email address, means the cuts are coming. They need to ensure they have your correct/current personal email address because that’s where they send your severance package email to.
Our team was asked to update our skills in workday as part of our mid year review and career planning (wink wink) No mention of transition planning (at least not yet 🤔)
Where did you hear this?
Huh? They sent something out saying this? Or are you guessing?
