Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Moving to HPE

Need your help to make a decision on the offer..

An old timer here got the transfer letter with a role change and a decreased bonus. My manager tells me that although the percentage is lower, the funding is usually 200-300%

Has it been that good over the past years ?

@10d problem is if Neri goes he will be replaced by a Elliott Management supplied droid. Better to have the beast we know.

Annual raise in the USA averages 2.25% and the bonus is hit or miss. I have people on my. team who have gotten 50-150% of potential every year while others have not received anything above a small token. HR does not give us enough money to give everyone 100% bonus so decisions need to be made acutely.

0-3 percent raises and small bonus if your business unit hits all their goal. Not great but better than nothing....:(

@OP they don't give up money for nothing, and alway figure out ways to audit your pay. Penny pinching cheapskates.. HPE su-ks

So, they're giving you a smaller bonus?

run as fast as you can. HPE does not pay anything unless they are absolutely forced to do so. You have to fight for every dime, and when it comes time to pay you, they slow walk everything or make the process so convoluted you give up. Worst run company in the world. Neri needs to be fired

As previously said, take the job and ride this out. HPE gives garbage bonuses and lousy raises, but if you treat it as a stepping stone, you’ll be fine. Do not invest too much into this company as they will take it all discard you once they are done. Do you 8 hours and nothing more.

Yeah they’re singing the multiplier because they were emphasizing 2x and 3x during the compensation calls. Think it was clear now why they were doing that.

But keep in mind this will really impact in 2027. So sign the letter and ride out this current employment downturn until the job market improves.

That's BS. It's a cut, because now the job market is such that they can save a bit.

I've been here 7 years and only received a real bonus once. I've only seen 100 percent funding - once - and it only came during covid, when jobs were plentiful, and our best engineers were quitting left and right for greener pastures.

@OP no we don't ever see 200 300 percent. Many years with zero last year was 50.
