My LL3 accidentally mentioned this site when they were complaining about people complaining on social media. The executives all read these posts and I think it is them and HR that make all the inane posts to bury things they would rather you aren’t reading.

@11v Punishment will continue until you make nice like a good boy.
Ahhh what you experience there is the behavior of bottom feeders. They'll never change.
@104 Sometimes you can't even say no to a date without getting harassed. Some groups are just sadistic.
@a3 Glassdoor use to have Ford employees and ex-employees posting detailed reviews. Ford had a team that would reply to all the reviews. They would tell the negative reviewers that they should report bad behaviors to HR, their people leaders and to the tip line (while heavily implying that if the review was true, it was an isolated incident). When the negative reviews started piling up Ford had a team post a ton of glowing fake reviews (to drown out the negative reviews). Then Ford started appealing all the bad reviews and having Glassdoor take them down.
It’s more important to Ford to manage their image than to actually address management issues. Small case in point the Chicago plant - still a cesspool of harassment. Oh but Hackett shed crocodile tears on the nightly news expressing shock and dismay at the working conditions. All an act, SSDD today.
Management actually reads this place, especially in certain orgs. I just wish they’d treat folks outside their org with a bit more kindness. Sometimes people get stuck in their own heads and miss the big picture. A lot of these might start softer issues, and swinging a big stick isn’t the right move and only turns them into real trouble. Discrimination is never okay, no matter how you spin it, and doubling down after seeing the problem is just poor judgment. Yeah, there’s some unnecessary cr-p on here, but a lot of it is dead on.

I bet I know who the LL3 is, don't sc--w with people and you won't have to hear about it.... What a group of sadistic dirtbags.
@cy It's ki-ling me, what are the --- for? What is that word?
@a3 ha, this site has 3 real employees and 28 regular trolls that post cr-p, hardly worth considering it for input
@cy I’m sorry, your grandma taught you to cr---h your beer?
@hj yup
Well, if management did the right thing they wouldn’t have to worry…. Grandma always told me two things, always cr---h your beer when passing a cop and treat others how you want to be treated.
I hope Ford management reads these posts.
There’s a big Ford facility in my town and I think I’ll run for public office and rip them a new exit hole for what they did to me.
@a3 I see people post glorious things on LinkedIn about Ford - I know a lot of them, they are more bitter than this crowd…
He was a drain on the life blood of the company. Ford donated enough blood. Time for the organization to go into rehab and begin the road to recovery. Recovery su-ks. There will be pain because rehab isn't for the faint of heart and there's still plenty of residual "grift" hanging around.
Hahah
I lie my a$$ off whenever I answer those. They get 100% all the time. Great marks across the board. Because do these ever move the needle? Feedback taken? H3LL no!
Might as well lie to them and tell them everything is fine. No one cares! They'll be fine.
@an Yup, I know two clueless LL4's that do, probably even printed the poem :).
I would hope that top Ford leadership or representatives for them read these posts in this forum. Here is one I want to say loud and clear, bring back DF. Admit the mistake and correct it, for the company's future, and for the majority of employees wanting this.
I know for a fact management covers up some posts when people they “protect” are revealed to be the aggressor.
I had an LL6 tell our team to ignore a certain website. I'm sure it was this one. That was back in 2023 or so before the hammer dropped
Think about it.
They monitor LinkedIn, there is a team for that.
That gives them zero value when it comes to the employees, all stuff employees post there is fake and cheerleading. They do get value out of linked in as it's a fly trap, all is milk and honey and it's ok-ish for recruiting talent.
But, when it comes to things that matter, if you are rational, this site gives you a much better picture of what's happening on the ground. No amount of surveys can compensate for all fake and massaged stuff that ends up in surveys. People are afraid - they just dont tell them what's on the employees mind.
Now, since most of us here are very much pi---d, you can argue that this is not reflective of the entire employee base. I'd agree with that to an extent, but if you were to cushion a bit harsh things that generally land on this forum, you'd have a much better picture about the underlying currents.
Maybe, somebody a bit more techy than me, can do an experiment where TheLayoff data is blended with LinkedIn data to generate a balanced picture of where the employees are. And, you'll miss things here and there but you will always directionally be right. Also, there is a simple rule of thumb - no posts on this site, all is good in the company. Just look at nvidia's board here or goldman sachs - zero posts (we'll there are some but they are scarce and are not written by employees.
What I am not sure about is weather mgmt cares or not - i'd bet that some do.
That's my two cents - this site is a gold mine for the mgmt and a therapy tool for the rest of us.
