JH laid off the few remaining US Retirement service reps (S/CAR role) in the Toronto & Halifax offices today. Jobs are gone to the Philippines. No more reps in Canada in this department . Sad day for this CANADIAN company.

How kind of them. They let a bunch of us know in advance they will be letting us go September 27. Or there’s a new role that pays approximately half of my current salary that I am welcome to apply for, lol!

Layoff happened on 5/13/24. After being with the company for almost 3 years I was apart of the layoff unfortunately. The call was so unexpected.

5/13/24 Just got laid off after working at John Hancock for over 6 years! Was planning on retiring in 2 years! This came as a shock with no warning. No explanation as to why me?

Just letting you know layoffs are happening on the low received my call while in leave by phone. Wrapped it up in less than five minutes.
