Its mind boggling how any management in any company thinks that this is reassuring. MAYBE if it showed them working in a stockroom, helping doing actual things, then MAYBE it might be a little more comforting. But showing off your beautiful home and how comfortable you're living is akin to giving the middle finger to the employees.
