Heard from a GE upper, that a Houston wide consolidation is on the table. Lower oil prices makes this move feasible. All Houston area facilities will relocate to one main place. 2017 is the target date.

Just a warning: If you get an email asking for your presents at a meeting with HR you are probably getting laid-off!!!!
Emails have went out and they are letting people go. I don't know how many people they are going to let go. All I know is that it is happening. I have heard this will continue until March. Monday's are the favorite day to layoff employees.

I know that some people in Oklahoma got emails last week about restructuring. To me it means layoffs, but is that in the offices or the guys out in the field? Does anyone know anything?
