Why is LinkedIn Silent About Layoffs?

I've seen no mention of layoffs on LinkedIn. Nothing in two weeks. With the thousands let go, why is that? Has Fidelity threatened to pull people's compensation packages if they write about layoffs on social media? How sad.

Bloated middle upper management, Lack of diversity

360 reviews of managers by associates are not a thing here. Incompetent middle and higher management doing not much actual things but collecting info/orders from below/above and passing them up/down, which they call 'strategizing' : ) Severe lack of... — read more

Psychological Safety Is Dead

If you’re not impacted by the layoffs, don’t speak up. Leadership doesn’t want to hear it. Just keep your opinions to yourself, support the goals and objectives, and quiet quit if you must. This isn’t a safe space.

Stressed And Sick

I randomly heard from three different sources today - VP and above from two different BUs that there will be more layoffs in April. I am so stressed out. Been with the company more than 17 years. My group demands more more more from people but... — read more

Consequences of not going into office

If I don’t go in all the time what will happen? Will I get laid off? Will I get fired? I have been worth the company 10 years and have had good performance so far

Company Culture Crisis

In recent times, the once-stable landscape of Fidelity's corporate culture has been shaken by a series of leadership transitions and organizational shifts. Following the departure of Kathy, there's been a noticeable shift in company culture. Several... — read more

Are the layoffs done?

Are they done? Were they just last week? I feel like there’s so much misinformation going around the floor this week. I hate that I’m in the office because it’s a sh-tshow.

It’s not you it’s us

For the folks new to the strategy game at the top of the house let me walk you through what happened. Abby and team unhappy with what’s going on in PI. Joanna and surrounding team fired / shown the door. Shuffle the cards and brought in Roger “the... — read more

Happens all the dang time

Why is management pretending layoffs don’t happen every year or two. This is such bs and all hidden by lies since the company is private.

Radio Silence

Is this typical behavior for Fidelity layoffs? They've laid off thousands of people and made a statement to the media, all the while not having the decency to communicate with their employees. No word from executives or managers. Even my coworkers... — read more

Union?

I am starting to think Fidelity leadership want a union

More Layoffs Today

A huge amount of Tech being laid off this morning. A friend messaged me that she was laid off around 8:45am this morning and supposedly to hundreds of other Tech folks. Just awful.

Sneaky leadership

The way we were jumped by layoffs will be followed by leadership behaving as if nothing happened. That’s the new norm. Ultimate disrespect for living, breathing human beings. Complete disregard for their professional achievement and personal lives... — read more

Never stop looking for your next job

Even knowing that this round is over, it is only a matter of time before the next one will take place. Plus, it is so much easier to look for and find a job when you already have one than when you are unemployed.

They messed with so many people's lives

I know a couple of folks who just started working here last year who were laid off. I feel just as bad for them as I do for Fidelity veterans. Some of them left good jobs for what they thought was a great opportunity just to be used as layoff fodder... — read more

Fu-k leadership

Fu-k fidelity leadership. The way they haven’t communicated anything transparently with us is appalling. I’d be embarrassed to walk into the office as a leader. Honestly, I’m realizing i have to give them the same energy I’m getting. Do the bare... — read more

Anyone know if Fidelity Institutional was impacted? Specifically CE (Client Experience)? Horrible. I feel so awful for those impacted. Prayers for all.

I know we've heard from managers and different sources that there'll be no layoffs next week, but am I the only one who has trouble believing them? Maybe I'm just paranoid or jaded or whatever, but until Monday comes and goes, I won't be able to... — read more

How were you notified?

Curious as to how Fidelity handled lay off notifications? Who told you? Method of notification?

I am so sorry, guys

For everyone who lost their job. It’s not easy. My heart goes out to you, and I hope you will be back on your feet soon. I know it may sound stupid or condescending atm, but it may be a good thing that happened to you. This is not a place to regret... — read more
