Well this is good my feedback will be heard then. Target the person before me who referenced Everest and Canada is right. Your fast follower mentality gets you in trouble. You can't start a venture without understanding what you want to be to your customer. You built a site and went into Canada because everyone else was. Second you have been so focused on your brand to your customers you don't realize you have hurt your brand to prospective future employees. When you don't live up to your commitments to your current or future employees they leave and avoid your company and they tell there friends. This leads to a spiral of notice tendering and difficulty in finding people to backfill. Better yet between a weak retail market in the cities in which many are switching to other industries and your reputation of not honoring job offers for those out of state it must be hurting your ability to recruit. I implore you to be the company you can be and quit being a disapointment.

AVOID THIS POST. THIS IS AN HR POST. When someone posts something on this site that says "Let's see what OUR folks say" is a clue that it is a Mpls Corp post to trap their own employees. Target is tracking ISP addresses now, Target has implemented an e-mail back-tracking system. And IF there is anyway to prove that ANY employee was on this site, they will be fired on the spot. They will be escorted immediately out the of the building. So avoid this post.

The common pattern on the RedRock, Everest and Canada projects was an incredible level of ARROGANCE from the so-called leaders of these initiatives, and a lack of respect for the everyday worker at HQ and at the stores. Unrealistic vision, lack of leadership at real levels, consensus-based decision making and relying on India for everything. A shot on the foot every time. Steinhaffel was the first of MANY that need to go. And by the way. Someone please get rid of MPSD. They are the most arrogant people who think they know systems and processes and all they do is grab what an Indian guy told them over email earlier in the morning and put lipstick on it. Target will become Kmart shortly.

Target becoming the future Kmart for sure... I can see them folding fairly soon... poor choices by big people

In 10 years target will be the same as Kmart now

1. Target has decided to outsource PM, BA and purchasing positions to India. Why? More profits for the fat-assed board members. I worked at Target. I am not going to go into work at 2am in the morning just because it fits with the Target India PM. Target India should adapt to US time, not the other way around.

2. Big retail is dying. Quickly. Big box stores are dead.

3. Target never cared about "worker bees", the grunt, day to day workers that made the company successful.

4. Prediction....ALL Target US stores will close within 10 years until they fix the Target Corporate and Target Retail dysfunction.
