Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

It's quiet here - check out boards of our energy friends on the oil side

It's a bloodbath, just starting though. Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Shell, BP, Weatherford, you name it... Swift energy is cutting capital budgets 75% for 2015, that's to mildly put it, SCARY. I hope we do fine from now on.

Typical playground bully mentality applied to the big world. Low confidence in one's own abilities, so has to use insults to attempt and degrade others. Usually people who do this are also the ones who provide the least value to an organization.

What's the deal with the "New York Jew" comment? I really don't get it. At least the "dick drainer Doug" moniker is entertaining.

I don't need to convey to my team that we should be more focused, dedicated and strong. WE are already doing so! I'm so proud to be here as WE can show the world our commitment. People who have moved on need to write down our many structured business practices from them to succeed.

No, SSE was spun because it's management couldn't pull itself away from the Chesapeake teet and get business elsewhere. It was a drain on the company and now that they have to stand or fall in their own, they are crumpling like the piss poor company that they are. Oh, and just to be clear, I couldn't give a bacon-flavored shit about what happens to SSE. This is business, not charity. If they can't survive, then the herd is culled a little and the strong ones make it through.

Anon 57588: Bro, the Anardarko boys are the reason SSE was spun off AND laden with so much debt. They sacrificed parts of our CHK ownership and now the value was driven down to just about $0 today. The only thing to come out of that is a tax write off when SSE goes BK. Thanks, Dougie.

Man, FFFFUCK dick drainer Doug and the new Chesadarko! FFFUCKING lifeless shit company these days. If rather take my chances with Aubrey any day! He actuall does things, he makes shit happen. Dick drainer Doug and his band of cronies don't have the talent or mental capacity to ever do anything great. They're purely a janitorial team. Once everything is cleaned up to the New York Jew Carl Ichan's liking, it will all be sold and everyone will be kicked to the curb. Enjoy you stupid brainless shits!!!

Haha. Amen - sign me up for the clown suit. Just talked to someone over at SSE yesterday. Holy shit it's getting tense over there. I'll take our problems any day. Oh, and have you noticed how many people have come back from the "promised land" of AEP? Three in my area, and I know of at least two in another. That place is circling the drain and someone's about to do a double flush. Plop.

I'll gladly wear a f***ing clown suit if it means Chesapeake is still around and I still have a job. If your measure of the effectiveness that the management team is based on whether they occasionally do some corny stunt like having us wear bracelets or giving us those stupid cones to use on our personal vehicles (nobody does) then you don't get it and clearly have been living in Chesapeake lala land for a little to long.

Anon: 57539. The same management yahoos that have given us the "required to wear" rubber bracelets? What BS! Grow up!

If we were run as we were under Aubrey, we'd be bankrupt. It's the same reason why he's taking some of his assets public at the absolute worst time - he's out of money and is desperate. Fortunately we had a management team come in who actually know how to run a company and have a pair of stone ones. They haven't been perfect, and they still have a long way to go. But we're still in business despite Aubrey's best efforts to shit money down the drain at every opportunity.
