Anonymous56658: why does it surprise you that only the "girls" were kept? Target is going on a new "hooters" business model.
So I just got fired by Target. No talk or anything like that, just a letter posted onto a whiteboard with my name on it saying I've been "terminated". My problem is why was I let go? I was trained in 4 depts (Electronics, Market, Cashier, and Hardlines). I'm one of two people in the whole store who can do all those departments. They decided to keep all the girls who came in a month after me. I talked with my other co-workers and they also don't get it. They said out of all the seasonal workers I should have stayed for sure. It weird that only the girls were allowed to keep their jobs. I think what ticks me off the most is that I wasn't even told directly but rather by letter. I mean it's HR's job to this kind of thing. Do they not have the balls to tell someone that they are fired? (Sidenote: I would have not been as angry if I were told directly)

Sorry Technology Leadership Program (TLP), not Target. TLP is a TTS hiring class of engineer/BAs in IT.
What I've heard is this encompassed the Target Leadership Program (TLP) in TTS. They've cancelled upcoming hiring classes for this.
So many people relocated,left their earlier jobs and their job offer gets rescinded. So sad.
Must be apart of some bigger layoff restructuring.
