An "Advisor" level person with impeccable credentials got the boot recently. He was in logging interpretation in Sugar Land. Guess no one is safe.

That was exactly my thought, that he was older. Older workers are either booted or they are asked to take an early retirement.
Was he over 50? There is a running commentary in the O&G as well as legal industry that SLB kicks out people over 50/55 regardless off their performance. It got better for a while but now that practice is back in full force.
