Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

EMEA and Asia update.

I wanted to share with you what I know about current situation in EMEA in general.

#Northern Europe there are 60 people affected by this change.

I have heard (Not confirmed) that 20 people was let go in Irland, Dublin in Support.

I also know a number middle Management who has been let go in the UK office.

#Further I have confirmation that at least one TRM in Nordic region has been affected and one consultant.

#Germany and France are in due process, No further update at this point. However checkout this space. I am sure we get more updates.

I also heard (again not confirmed) that consulting team across the world has been hit badly with Germany awaiting judgement day.

#Further rumour is that the Hong Kong office and Greece office has been shutdown.

What does not make much of sense is how they are shutting down parts of business which is profitable. Consulting is one of those areas which brings a lot of revenue I assume and some very good people has been left. I was expecting to be one of them however I got an email which indicated that my role was not affected.

Eastern Europe may be killed but there are rumours of a new office opening in Sofia.

Eastern Europe has been killed pretty much all of it. Gone, shame some great technical people were let go.

Most of the remote Support Centre including Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea are closed. The only Support Centre left in APAC are Australia, China, India and possible Japan. It seems they are going to consolidate all the support to China and India due to low cost, like other US company.

Thanks for the update, this is informative, I do not work with APAC but it's good to know how things are developing

enormous cuts to tech support, particularly in APAC from what people there have said. some very well known and respected managers removed as well. anyone have more details on that?

nice to see mr tesla repeating the myth that work is not a place and technology can enable collaboration from anywhere. tell that to the folks in boston, hong kong and EMEA who were cut due to location.

Hong Kong office is not shutdown as it is the regional head office. Only the whole TechSupport team gone, you can say the HK call centre shut down, but not office.
